Chapter 208 - Incinerated

"Kou!!!" his name getting called out expanded around the hilltop, reaching some places that normally wouldn't be possible. Tim looked up at the hilltop and felt odd. "What's going on up there?" he asked.

"I have a bad feeling..." Tim's arms were starting to shake out of a sudden. He couldn't control himself. He became anxious. "Get out of my way!" he dashed toward Peter and shoved him away. He started ascending the stairs. "Hey! Where are you going?! We aren't done!" Peter shouted.

"I don't have time to waste for somebody as hopeless as you!" Tim exclaimed. Peter became infuriated. "What do you mean?! Of course, you have time to waste! Don't underestimate me!"

Tim looked behind him with intimidation on his face. "I will underestimate you! Now shut up and find a better job!" Peter blinked multiple times. "You don't need to be rude." Peter decided to hurry on after him.

Kou's body remained impaled on the chains. Blood was dripping from his body, and it didn't stop. He couldn't speak or breathe. His lifeless eyes were the only part that stood out in another's view. He opened his mouth slowly and whispered because of pain. "Louisa..."

Bow became infuriated, whipped his arm, and summoned his bow. He created the golden arrows and prepared to shoot them forward. "Damn you." He fired the arrows. They darted and prepared to pierce Rosi's body.

She swiped her arm back, and a chain came protruding from the wall. It whipped through the arrows, destroying them and quickly changing directions. It swept toward Bow, who tried to defend himself, but the chain was too quick. The growing spikes in the chain sliced his chest and wounded him. "Don't move!" she ordered.

She pulled the chain, tightened their grip, and intensified its grip on Kou's body, who couldn't even scream from the pain. "Stop it! You've hurt him enough already!" he claimed.

Rosi looked at him, relaxed. "I might. But you're not making it better. Attack one more time, and I'll kill him for good. He still has some time before he bleeds to death."

Bow understood that he could still save him, but if Rosi were to speed up the bleeding process, he might never be able to save his life. "You witch. And I thought that Muro was a horrible individual. I see there're people much worse than he ever was. He didn't impale people and let them bleed to death at the very least."

Bow heard feet behind him. "What's going on?" asked Tim. Bow looked behind and became surprised. "It's you." Tim looked at Bow, confused. "When did you get here, Bow?" but after he asked, his eyes suddenly locked on the scene before his eyes.

His body grew chilly. His heartbeat picked up speed, and his eyes stopped blinking. His muscles clenched as his eyes shrunk. The only color in the otherwise monochromatic image was the scarlet blood that was constantly splattering on the ground. He was unable to think clearly or focus. His eyesight was initially hazy and kept spinning until being sharply focused on the blood and gore. Kou, impaled on the chains, brutally filled his view.

Peter came running behind. "Hey! What the hell?! We're not done." He called, but even he froze afterward and became disturbed. "What happened here? I... I can't even. N-Nevermind." Peter swallowed saliva.

"Tim. I tried to help, but I-" Bow didn't continue his sentence. He noticed Rosi looking at them. "There's more of you, one of them being that strange outrider, Peter. Did you come here just to watch the show, or what?" she asked. "No, Rosi, I... um. I chased down this pirate. That's all. I-I just didn't expect to see... um... *that* when I... yeah..." He had no desire to keep talking.

"Well, you did. Now, hurry up and finish the job, or are you too scared to finish what you started? He's an easy target." She explained, but Peter wasn't certain what to do. When he looked at Tim he gulped. "I wasn't hired to assassinate him. I was only ordered to stop him from coming closer to the mansion. I'm sorry, but I won't kill a person if it's not a high-prized bounty." He explained.

Rosi closed her eyes. "Of course, you wouldn't. You wouldn't even kill a person, not even when I provided a whole group of soldiers to follow you. You're really hopeless. We should've hired a better hitman." She finished her argument and looked at Tim's frozen body.

"Would you look at that? The all-mighty pirate captain is on the verge of breaking. I hoped he would give us a challenge, but it turns out he's nothing but a person who loses hope after seeing one of his friends on the verge of death. I don't know what I was afraid of." She sighed and waited unmovingly.

Kou's consciousness was slowly fading away. "Tim... It's you," he spoke. Tim's hearing reacted a bit but stayed silent. "It's... cold." His statement faded away. Rosi gently moved her hand and slowly began detaching the chains. "This kid's been quite through a lot recently. Wouldn't you say so, White-Haired "Pirate"? It's almost sad, but I guess there's always something like that in this world."

Tim's hands softened. "What did you... do? You've..." Tim's shrunken eyes continued shaking. "What did I do? Well, I rearranged this kid's body a little. Don't worry, he's a strong fellow. A normal person couldn't be alive for this long when impaled, but not to worry. That won't matter for long."

Tim stood still. "Rearranged..." Tim's heartbeat started beating out loud, heard by everyone around. "Rearranged..." Tim's hair slowly started to wave. "Rearranged..." orange flames burst from the ground. They encircled him. They seared high in the air, raising the temperature and turning blue.

"You..." his clothes rippled next. "Think..." the flames expanded out to the sides. They blazed past Bow and Peter, then slammed their weight into the walls. "that you're funny...?" the flames began to burn at rapid speed. It started rising high in the air, behind him. "You're not..." he told.

Bow and Peter covered their eyes from the flashing fire. Their clothes wouldn't stay still and kept swinging because of the wind and fiery force. "You're not funny..." his hands closed into fists.

"What are you?" asked Rosi, hiding some of her vision from the fire. "You're going to burn this place down!" she shouted.

The flames were sweeping around. Some swept in front of Tim's face. The others seared around. Tim's eyes were often hidden by the flames exposed. His face became solemn but made his mouth tremble. "Burn this place down?" he didn't hide his rage.

"No, I'm going to do much worse than that." His mouth opened wide and shook. "Or that's what I would say if I didn't come here to cleanse this island of scumbags like you." The flames that he exposed started burning wildly. "But what I will do..." The flames burst around him one more, causing an entire arson. "is incinerate you whole." Rosi's eyes shook. She was terrified, but most of it she hid behind her irritated face.

"You're not actually thinking that you can defeat me, do you?" Wondered Rosi. Tim didn't expose any other emotion other than fury and hatred. "No, I won't." he locked his eyes on her and revealed a burning blue color. "I'm going to kill you." Tim stepped forward.

"You're crazy if you think I'll let that happen!" Rosi shouted, pulled the chains with her, and tossed them forward at incredible speed. They flew straight into the fire, spiking themselves up, but the moment its metal reached into them, it took no less than seconds to melt the chain whole.

Her eyes shook as she noticed the metal's liquid liquidate on the ground. "That's impossible! That chain was made out of Moonsteel! It should be capable to withstand at least 3600º Fahrenheit!" she shouted. "Is that so? Too bad that this fire reached 9,990º Fahrenheit."

Rosi's eyes froze. "That's impossible! The hottest fire ever produced was 4990º!" she called, irritated. "Yet there are things hotter than that in the whole universe." Tim's flames swallowed him whole and at that moment, he dashed from it at an insane speed.

He appeared in front of Rosi, and her eyes opened wide. He was squatted beneath her, as he opened his palm. Blue flames stretched around the whole hand, covering his skin. His left eye seared out its blue flames. Tim's right sleeve couldn't withstand the heat and began to reveal his skin as it burned.

He hurled his right arm forward and clutched Rosi's face. He pulled her back and pushed her toward the ground. He slammed her back against it and then released a vibration. The blue flames in his palm started to melt her skin. She couldn't scream, Tim's grasp was too hard. Then, the flames melted through her muscles and began to melt the bones of her skull. Tim pushed her body deeper into the ground and the next moment ignited her whole body. It burned through her clothes, melted her skin and bones, and before long her body became nothing but ash.

Bow and Peter observed how Rosi was brutally incinerated. The flames that still burned seared around them, and both were astonished. Slowly the flames exposed started disappearing, and only a few stayed active. The sky was changed to darker as the flames disappeared, changing it back to normal, and at first, both, Bow and Peter were speechless.

They watched Tim slowly stand up, his arms hanging in front. "He," Bow couldn't finish, "killed her," Peter exclaimed. Both of them looked to Tim's right and were caught in shock. He gave them a sidelong glance and then looked back in front. He walked toward Kou. "You know what? I don't think I want to fight him right now." Peter claimed and gave up.

Bow blinked multiple times. "I didn't know that the flames had to do anything with his emotions. Rage and hatred combined caused all of that." Bow said.

Tim squatted in front of Kou and seemed to be worried. He was sweating and couldn't watch him bleed. "Hey, Kou. You need treatment, please." Tim explained and then noticed Kou looking up at him with his lifeless eyes. "All... right..." Tim noticed his eyes shut and then immediately decided to pick him up. "You two. We need to go meet with Ayuka. She can treat him!" Tim called.

Both of them were confused, and Bow asked, "What about Niklas?" Tim showed no concern. "I don't care where he's now. We'll find him afterward, but right now we need to help Kou."

Bow lowered his gaze onto his arm. "But, your arm. What about-" Tim's arms were burned and continued bleeding. "I'll be fine. Let's go!" Tim ran with Kou on his back down the stairs with Bow and Peter following him.

Rosi's body only remained burnt to a crisp.
