Chapter 156 - It Ends Here - Part 4

Like on the opposite side of the battleground, where there had once been a huge castle, Tem kept up the fierce combat with Muro, who had grown accustomed to her open battle stance.

"You are focusing less and less on the battle. What's wrong, could you maybe have gotten worn out by your own strikes?"

Tem quickly moved from her position and knelt in front of Muro next to his abdomen. She said, "I'm just getting started!" and slammed her fist into his stomach. He was immediately surprised and in pain as he struggled to stand up.

"When it comes to hits, you are completely useless! All that was was a kid attacking!" Muro mocked Tem, then raised his palm in front of him and shot black electricity out of it.

Tem quickly slipped around his right hip in order to prevent him from reaching out to grab her shoulder and sent a strong shockwave instead.

She leapt up and kicked him in the back with a roundhouse kick as she was behind him.

He was knocked forward and into a frontal flip, but he was able to maintain control of his body and turn to face Tem. Blue flames were unleashed on her arm as she drew it behind her. Instantly after throwing it in front of her, she immediately let loose a medium-range burst of fire that spiraled toward Muro.

Muro encircled himself with lightning and leaped into the air, causing the flames to spread quickly beneath him. The higher he rose, the faster he spun in the air before pointing his hand forward. In front of his hand, he charged out a medium-sized ball, which he then purposefully fired forward at breakneck speed.

Tem responded instantly. Before the ball blasted behind her, she skidded to one side and sprinted forward. It tore up the floor behind her, releasing a shock that pumped into her back, and as a result she immediately lost her footing.

She performed a frontal flip before falling to the ground and rolling through the debris.

Muro, who had been hovering above, suddenly descended from the sky, extended his arms, and got ready to touch Tem's head.

She quickly set herself on fire for a brief period of time after spotting him getting ready to crash into her. Before Muro could grab her, she ducked forward and felt the ground being touched by Muro's hand. Muro swiftly turned his soles on the ground and faced her as it released a blast from the ground and threw the pebble into the air.

Muro quickly took the initiative, launched himself off the ground, and moved forward in a straight line.

She hurriedly hopped ahead, kicked behind her in a rotating motion, and let off a jet of blue fire that would strike Muro when she was a decent distance away from him.

Muro threw himself to the left in flight and felt the fire blast fly straight by him before it could burn him. After making contact with the ground with his right sole, he sprinted forward even more quickly than before.

Muro quickly took the lead and launched himself off the ground, and moved forward in a straight path.

She hurriedly hopped ahead, kicked behind her in a rotating motion, and let off a jet of blue fire that would strike Muro when she was a decent distance away from him.

Black energy was shooting out of his hands, and his left arm was being pulled behind him. He caught up to Tem and got ready to put his hand on her front face.

She put both of her hands on the ground while bending her torso back. Muro accelerated over her body, missed, and prepared furiously to land his feet.

As soon as he landed safely, Tem changed into a handspring high in the air, whirled her body in the reverse way to Muro's positioning.

She kicked obliquely in front of her from underneath and let out a quick firestrike that blitzed through the air. Muro crossed his arms to protect himself from the fire as it slammed into him as it shot upward at an insane rate of speed with raging flames.

He made a broad smile while blowing it to the side and swiping his arms through it. "You really are a warrior! I can't imagine I'd have had the chance to use your blood as a research resource!" After saying it, he immediately took a position.

He aimed Tem with both palms of his hands together as he charged up a throbbing ball in front of him.

Tem focused on him and tightened up. She quickly changed into a dive and started spinning through the air. More flames began to envelop her entire body as she descended from the sky faster and closer to Muro. The flames had a close resemblance to a drill and were just getting hotter and hotter.

She then transformed her entire body into a phoenix's skinny frame. Its beak extended into a bird's head, and its wings, which were straightened, reached out from both sides. She dove into the air at a rapid velocity such that her body couldn't be seen from the sides.

Muro instantly increased the pressure and got ready to let go of the ball when it was ready as it became bigger.

"While using those particular flames, you seem to be getting smarter and smarter all the time! I'm eager to destroy someone as precious as you!"

Both the dive and the ball were ready. Muro's enormous bomb was directly struck by the blazing bird's body as it exploded in a huge explosion that surged out on all sides.

The black electrical currents and blue flames expanded into a large bomb, forcing their pressure into a deadly nuke. The area around them was totally demolished, and the nearby grass soon caught fire.

Muro immediately turned around and tumbled on the ground as their bodies were launched into the air in opposing directions. He cut his fingers on the rocky ground as he slid them across it, yet he still stopped before hitting a structure.

Tem, on the other hand, nearly lost her balance when she flipped backward, raised her arms above her head, and landed on both of her feet. She quickly stopped after adjusting it by turning her complete body around while standing on her feet.

Blue flames burst from her body as she halted in a blink. Her left arm was extended behind her right arm, right was drawing closer to the ground. She was standing with her legs spread out, one in front and the other in rear.

One side of her hoodie was fully charred, and her sleeves had been seared all the way up to her shoulders. The edges of her undershirt were scorched, exposing portions of her skin, particularly close to her chest. Her right leg was exposed as her sleeves were exposed to the heat, exposing her thigh.

"You're also damaging my clothes, you know. It seems that you are still unsure of the right way to compress the flames so as to avoid scorching someone's attire." Muro chuckled as he spoke. "Inform me. Do you not feel somewhat "exposed"?"

"I see you're speechless. Say, I've been feeling quite drained from all the bickering; why don't we just end it? I still need samples of your blood."

He puffed, annoyed that Tem was still standing. She inhaled deeply, yet quietly enough to avoid making a sound. She grabbed for the exposed bra collar tip on her left and tugged it up.

"I could say to you the same. I haven't eaten anything in a very long time. Can't we take a break for dinner?"

Muro's expression darkened, and he shot forth a broader vortex of black bolts surrounding him.

"You're starting to annoy me more and more!" he said, anticipating the dramatic turn of events,

The battle continued until its climax...

To be continued...
