Chereads / GINKEN: Sea Storm / Chapter 90 - To Guarantee The Victory

Chapter 90 - To Guarantee The Victory

Only a short time ago, Byron defeated Tim and won, and with the threat thought to be gone, Byron took advantage of the situation and challenged Kou's crew, who had managed to free King Artemis from his confinement.

When Tomomi was apprehended and told that she would be sold to the world government owing to her uniqueness, she became absolutely despondent, recognizing that their only hope of victory had vanished. Kou's tears and fear had taken over, and he had called out Tim's name with the last of his hope, and even after a difficult time trying to persuade him to fight, hope had been completely lost, or so they thought, after Karisa's sudden speech had overtaken Tim's ears and reached the very bottom of his heart.

He awoke in a spectacular entrance with the final promise: "Now that I know your weakness, I will say this without hesitation. Byron... Hehe... I'm going to kick your ass!!!" Byron was thrown through the walls by Tim's rage.

The time has finally come for him to achieve his goal, and this is the final struggle for the kingdom's recovery.

The winner is yet uncertain, but the two combatants who are ready to face each other have prepared themselves in the ring. Will it be Tim, who has a strong desire to uphold the pledge and preserve the Golden Wasakona's Kingdom, or Lord Byron the 'Cruel' Artemis, whose sole objective is to get wealthy and continue to cruel control over the Golden Wasakona's Kingdom.

Tim stood in the midst of his newfound pals, surrounded by Tomomi's fatigued body, Kou's brave faith, and King Artemis' trusting but hungry body.

As the rest of the room saw his amazing entry, the overwhelming quantity of flames his hands and legs were emitting swelled in number, restoring their faith in Tim, whose earlier overpowering onslaught had created an angry scratch on Byron's torso.

They both had a huge smile on their faces, with Kou displaying genuine concern and feelings, which surprised King Artemis, who was used to viewing Kou as gloomy and indifferent. Kou's genuine motives, however, were to preserve the kingdom and restore its balance.

"You've come back... Tim, I was hoping you would actually return to action."

Kou's worry disappeared as he looked at him up close, and he kept his smile even when Tim spotted him. He paid close attention to Tim's next comments and saw the blue flames go away.

"Yup, I sure am! Although, I suppose I did disappoint you. You can only do so much, after all. Listen up, Kou, I have three requests for you. First, please take Tomomi and Artemis away from the demolished structure and locate the others. Bring Karisa and Ireene along as well. Second..."

Kou kept looking at Tim's face and waited in silence, apprehensive about the next assignment he'd be assigned. When he heard Tim's stomach grumble, he was scared he wouldn't be able to do it.

"Could you bring me some food?"

As he bonked Tim on the top of his head, Kou's eyes dotted swiftly on the spot. He yelled at him and protested in a hurry.

"Seriously?! Are you hungry? This is not the time for a laugh!"

Tim became suddenly dejected, but quickly regained his composure and stood up straight. He shared the third finger after lifting three.

"And then there's the third..."

"..."

"...."

"....."

"Oh, wait. I suppose I only had two favors to offer. Maybe I overlooked something?" Kou's arms dropped from his shoulders as he regarded Tim with disdain. Several dots appeared above Kou's head, and he asked with sweat streaming down his brow. "Seriously...? You can be completely brain dead at times..."

"Look. Just complete the first favor I asked of you, and possibly the second, as quickly as you can, since I might kick Byron's ass before you return. It's time for me to follow through on my pledge!"

Tim smiled as he snatched his hood. Tomomi was swiftly caught by Kou, who nodded behind him. He aided both Tomomi and King Artemis and dashed to the fourth floor, where he knew he'd run across Karisa and Ireene.

"Tim, best of luck! I'm confident you'll thrive! You're our only hope, and there's no one else in whom I have more faith than you!"

Tim let go of his head as Kou chased down the steps. He swiftly said while he still had the chance.

"Oh, don't worry. There's no way I'll lose to him now that I'm back up and runnin'. Just keep an eye on me; when I'm done with this nonsense, no one else will attempt to conquer the Golden Wasakona. I've made up my mind already. It will be our victory! I guarantee it."

After safely descending the stairs, Kou was welcomed by Karisa and Ireene, who promptly approached him. "Father!" Ireene called out the first word, and he swiftly responded. She gave him a passionate and loving hug and walked behind him, hearing her father's voice for the first time in a long time.

"Oh, you've grown so much, Ireene. How I've missed you."

"Father, I'm so sorry. There was nothing I could've done, even as a princess. Please, forgive me. They must've treated you poorly. Your body has gone all numb and weak. You've lost weight too."

"Don't worry. Once I get some fresh food, I'll be back up and running."

Kou suddenly called out.

"I'm sorry to interrupt your reunion, but we need to get moving and catch up with the rest of the group. Tim instructed me to leave the temple right away and go see Dr. Louree. That's where I'm sure the others are."

They agreed right away and entrusted Tim with fighting Byron while they ran towards Dr. Louree's house, where she typically treated patients.

Byron dislodged himself from the structure and knelt on his left knee. He clenched his hip and exhaled deeply, sweating profusely. After spitting out saliva, he was fatigued and bruised by Tim's fierce kick as he vented his rage.

"That brat believes he can simply walk into my kingdom and wreck my entire reputation. I want to grind him into ash because of the way he acts even after such violent wounds. 'White Hair,' I'll crush you!"

He straightened up and came face to face with Tim's eyes, who had dropped from the top of his temple. He landed on the floor with flames roaring in all directions, and the large source of blue flames spilled out onto the sides as his limbs made contact with the floor.

"There you are, 'White Hair,'! You think you've won only because you got one good hit? You're a spoilt brat who hasn't learned how to fight properly. Even if the heat of your fires was increased, it would still be no match for sand! I swear I'm going to kill you and the rest of your obnoxious little cronies!"

As he clutched the top of his hood, Tim's smile disappeared from his face. Tim's eyes immediately filled with a wave of blue fire that reflected outward after a few seconds. As the majority of his portions were shadowed, his face became scary.

"You are the only one who will lose. I know your weak spot, and now that I know how to hit you, there's no way I'm going to lose. You've already been defeated."

Tim squatted slightly with his legs and fronted both arms. He was walking with one foot in front of the other and his legs wide out. For a few seconds, the hood flung off his head, and flames flared from both eyes. Both exchanged eyes for a few seconds before the battle began when Tim's flames dispersed.

Natan stood in front of Joseph, who continued to munch his bread, and Ellie grew to the size of a doll as he was placed in Joseph's belt pocket, who grinned.

"You're the only one missing from my "toy" collection, Shadow Rider. Don't waste my time; give up while you still have a chance to live. You never know, I could prefer to kill you rather than turn you into a doll. If you're a doll, all of your abilities are useless, and there's no more pressure that can build up around your body. It's a win-win situation for me, if I may say so."

"I don't comprehend. Are you meant to be afraid of us shrinking them down to doll size? I think you can't compete on an equal level with someone. It's just sad, like the music that hasn't been given much thought. That's enough for me to accept your reward."

Natan drew his handgun and reloaded it in the blink of an eye. Joseph responded by laughing and throwing a small rock up and down in his hand. He twisted it between his fingers before launching it into the air, where it fell and was caught by his swiping palm.

"There is no equality in a fight to live or die. Accept it and die for me so that no one has to listen to your terrible music."

Natan's eyes shuddered with rage as Joseph shouted out those words. As Joseph looked at him, his eyes began to flame crimson and he paused in place. It was an obvious target for a musician whose entire existence revolved on making music and making others happy.

"You can criticize me, but you won't insult my music when you've not heard it yet! Get ready to die!"

The battle continues...
