There are three types of demons in my story,

the first type are the common monsters such as ogres, trolls and such, they hold no relation to actual demons but they are referred to as demons anyway in an attempt to make actual demons seem like monsters.

Long ago demons and almost every other race lived in harmony, during these time demons were called Asur. Back then the Asur and the other races often mated with each other and due to Asur genes being surprisingly Submissive the offspring was often the race of the partner with little to no resemblance to their Asur parent. Now however, after generations upon generations the Asur gene is still present in some members of the other races and under certain conditions unique to each race they can mutate into demons, considered a disease near all mutated demons are often hunted down and killed, the races not willing to accept that one of their own could be a demon. These demons are called The infected Demons and receive great prejudice from all races.

The final type of demons are the True demons, there are many different 'Clans' of true demon and are distinguished by specific styles of magic they are capable of. all demons possess immense strength and ability. It is unknown why demons are looked at with such hate but due to upbringings and passed down ideals no one often questions them, but the few non Racist historians believe the answer lies in the war that was caused due to the rebellion of a god.
