LATE-NIGHT OBSESSION
Windy,
2:pm,
SUSAN
"What possibly would you want from me?" "Mr. Donald", Susan asked Donald, the first son of "Mr. Brandon who happens to own one of the richest top corporate estate companies in the state.
Not only did Donald lose his manners of approach consciously but has decided to be the talk of Brandon's family, he's a man of control who likes his wins big, his women beautiful and obedient in bed, not out, and his past buried.
"Susan"? Donald uttered.
"It's high time you get rid of that name, are you that envious of my little achievements? DONALD!"
Trying to show off her worst affection, after Donald made her lose a contract that would have promoted her stand in the company just the very day he was assigned as the project manager in his father's company.
"I can see.....u haven't changed" Donald giggled, " well, they said good things comes to those who wait till last day of their lifetime, hahaha so pathetic."
"Haha, guess I should help you with the meaning of being pathetic; when you show up from God knows where after I have worked my ass up for this very contract, but is fine so if you'll excuse me I have something to attend to."
She returned to her own office after that, with a heart full of grievances and anger, she packed up her belongings into her red bag, being unbothered about her present makeover, and left for the entrance.
Numerous people murmured as she walk past.
"I heard her contract wasn't signed because sir Donald was mean towards her presentation, that's pathetic"
"Exactly! besides, miss Suzi isn't only nice but easy-going too, she buys us food and drinks during our free time with works"
"Sometimes this works can be cumbersome_" as she shakes off her head. "she deserves the contract I feel for her" as one of the passer-by let out.
Eric.
"Susan, wait a minute" Mr. Eric gestured with his hands, walking towards Susan with a petty smile on his face. "am done for the day too can I drop you off at least?"
"No thanks, am fine trust me I have had enough for today"
Susan said walking away from another about to happen scene, waving down a taxi.
"Taxi, #34 Standford street? Pal-Omas's coffee shop" Susan directed. "all alright ma".
Eric stood and watched Susan leave angrily, he immediately ran up the stairs, saw his prodigal brother Donald smiling and tap circling his coffee cup, looking unbothered.
"What did you say to Susan that made her that way? I have never seen her this way before" Eric said.
"And what makes you think that am involved lover boy?
Do you know? Am aware that you never liked me for a senior blood brother, but am sure you know that am here to stay, the earlier we learn to compromise each other the better" giving a very sharp bent smile on his face.
"It had better be of goodwill because a lot has happened since you left and I bet you don't know me too well, BROTHER!" As he left his presence. Went into his car and drove off.
#34 STANDFORD STREET,
SUSAN PAYS OFF the taxi man and walked into the nearest shop, pal-Oma's coffee shop, her best friend "Rebecca" works for her aunt. Rebecca and Susan have been friends since high school, both parents say is from kindergarten each time they discuss how far they have gone, but after college, Rebecca couldn't get a nice paying job because she can't devote her brains to stress, she loves to party loves mean, tall funny guys, oooh she love it with some inches and black-skinned. what a taste?
"Who buys coffee at noon, Rebecca" Susan giving a confronting smile as she approaches
"Sweetie" Rebecca uttered, "you look hmm..forsaken girl, I thought you wouldn't be visiting me anymore?" Rebecca giggled looking away to catch a breath, on waving to an awaiting customer Rebecca turned to Susan and asked.
"Tell me, girl, how has it been? what's new? Ok, you wanna drink out?"
"Oh no, certainly not your coffee Becca am saturated, my boss's sons get on my nerves big time, and it seems entertaining to them" embracing her forehead with her fingers.
"I Wanna quit "
"If I were you I wouldn't do that " Becca replied.
"Ok girl, enough of the boring moments Suzi" "anty!? Am leaving the store, am done for today" Becca screamed, and both left for home.
Picking up a taxi to Susan's house,..she has no pet because she can't accommodate one, she wants something more to a pet sometimes, but wouldn't like to speak about it.
"Ouch!, my toes hurt" as she pulls off her heels, jumps on her bed
