It doesn't take long for them to arrive at the Agency and when they enter the meeting room the trio comes to an abrupt halt at the stale scent of the papers and seeing the dust in the air from the eight boxes spread across the room.
"What's this?" Astrid asks staring at the artifacts laid out on the table.
"We found it in the basement of the sorority." Jones responds not logging up from the aged paper in his hands.
"And why did you call for us?" Astrid asks.
"We were hoping that you can translate some of it for us." Walker says as she enters the room with a cup of coffee.
"Why me?" Astrid asks a bit annoyed.
"Because you were able to understand ancient greek without looking at the modernized translated script when we were on the topic of Greek Gods and Goddesses." Jones says handing her the sheet of paper he's holding.
"And what makes you think I'll understand this?" Astrid asks sparing a glance at the paper in her hand.
"It's not Greek." Ralph says stating the obvious.
"Then what is it?" Gemma asks looking over Astrid's shoulder.
"It's a mixture of Sindarin, Greek, and Sanskrit." Ralph says rubbing a frustrated hand through his hair.
"These are the documents that were supposedly destroyed years ago, aren't they?" Astrid asks and Ralph nods.
"Someone's trying to play creator." Astrid mumbles to herself as she takes a seat at the table looking at the paper in her hand and properly looking over the carefully written lines on the paper.
"Why do you need to understand what was written on them? They're meant to be destroyed and we all the story behind it if someone finds that these documents are here replicated or original then you're putting innocent lives at stake." Astrid says placing the paper back in its box not wanting to be near it any more than necessary.
"She's right but we're the only ones that can keep it safe besides we don't know if they managed to make and sell copies of them." Jones says.
"That is an excellent point." Astrid says with a sigh.
"So how about you translate them then burn the text after." Gemma suggests and everyone ponders the idea.
"We can give it a try but only those who are present in this room will take on this task No one else." Walker says and everyone nods in agreement.
"Can we do this tomorrow?" Gemma asks her fatigue becoming evident in her posture.
"Sure." Walker says and everyone leaves heading for their homes to return bright and early the next day.
The next morning at 6 am everyone is in the meeting room sorting out the artifacts and files while eating in between and staying hydrated due to Jemma's insistence. They make headway in sorting the artifacts since their purposes and relevant information have already been translated but haven't been able to translate the other files.
Playing with her ben Astrid looks at the papers on the floor while Jemma's head rests on her lap playing a game on her phone to keep her occupied.
"Ouch." Astrid says dropping the paper she was about to pick as a drop of her blood lands on the paper before she places her finger in her mouth.
"What's wrong?" Victor asks approaching her confused that her blood has no scent contrary to the night she was bitten but he doesn't say anything.
"Paper cut." She says looking at her now healed fingertip.
"All better now..." She says trailing off as she looks at the papers, eyes wide in shock. Victor looks down at the paper understanding her shock. The mixture of letters on the page has rearranged themselves grouping the like symbols and words together before they translate to English the blue hue fading from them.
"What did you do?" Jones asks taking up the paper but dropping it just as quickly with his at the flash of pain in his fingers as letters scramble themselves again.
"I got a paper got and apparently a drop of my blood on the paper translated the paper." Astrid says in a daze looking at her healed finger before looking at the paper.
Meanwhile elsewhere..........the door to the cell opens and the figure in the chains doesn't bother to look up.
"You thought you would be able to deceive but too bad. She's made her presence known now it's just to find out where she is." The woman says before leaving the cell making sure to slam the door whereas far away in the artic kingdom the King feels the familiar energy of his daughter and love, her mother is shocked because he thought that they were killed, at least that's what he was told.
"She's alive. My daughter is alive." He says smiling to himself as he looks at his wife and stepchildren gaze guarded after all these years.
"Are you ok dear?" His wife asks him zoning out of her four children's conversation for a few moments.
"Of course." He says taking a sip of wine pushing away his plate of half-eaten food then placing the empty crystal goblet on the table he excuses himself.
"Is everything ok, mom?" Her eldest son asks her noticing the change in her mood.
"Yes. Your father is just busy." She responds by taking a bite of her stake the perfect picture of elegance and innocence but dark deceiving thoughts cloud her mind. Her children watch her and smirk knowing that she's planning something but is keeping up appearances because of the servants present.
"Everything will work out mum." Her youngest daughters say in unsion who look like exact copies of their mother.
"Of course, it will, after all, it's me." She responds smiling gently at them and they continue to eat their dinner.
