"It's been thirty minutes since you said Celia is in the washroom, but why ain't she out yet? What's keeping her?" Dora furrowed her brows.
"Grandma, Celia's feeling stressed, she just want some space."
"Space? What if she's meeting right now with someone, maybe another man."
"Grandma don't you say that. Celia isn't capable of that." A frown settled down on Andres's face.
"But, what if, I'm correct? She was nervous while reciting the wedding vow. By the way, she's a lowlife, so it's preposterous she's not wayward."
"Grandma...grandma, please....enough! You misbehave with Celia, but I won't let you cross the line mum. Celia is now my wife so you must respect her." Andres firmly said.
"Even though she's now a Harper, you cannot reverse her root that she is just a lowly orphan and a caterer at a local eatery. You dragged the name Harpers through the mud by marrying that woman. I just hope you don't regret your decision marrying Celia." Dora stormed out.
Andres sighed.
Andrea stepped into the reception room. Immediately Andres spotted her, he started to her embracing her warmly, "where have you been Celia?"
He moved from her arms.
Andrea cleared her throat.
"Umm, I was at the other side of the room gisting with my old friends. We were trying to catch up."
Andres peered at her face, and he furrowed his eyebrows feeling confused, "what happened? Why are you putting on a heavy make up? You always wear light make up."
Andrea stretched her hands toward Andres's shoulders and laid her hands on them, "I wanted to look hotter for you babe." She smiled wildly.
"It's almost evening, and, the reception is already over."
"Babe..., I mean, to look hotter for tonight." She winked at him.
Andres felt nervous and Dora's words echoed in his mind, "what if she's meeting right now with someone, another man?"
He jolted out of his thoughts, "so, where are your old friends you said you were chatting with? Come, show me to them."
"No, wait babe." Andres noticed her gripping his arm and looking uneasy.
"Babe, my friends already left."
"They might not have gone yet since you came in just now. I'll just call up Cindy and ask them to come back."
"Umm..." Andrea's heart raced fast. Andres pulled out his phone from his pocket. Andrea saw he was almost dialing up Cindy's number, and she dropped on him acting dizzy, "I don't feel so good."
Andres panicked and he quickly held her from falling. He carried her in his arms, and Andrea slightly opened her eyes staring at him and was feeling amused by the anxious look he had.
"No one has acted so kindly to me even though I'm faking. Is this how special Celia is to you? You wouldn't want to see her hurt?"
Andrea thought.
It was nine pm. Andres arrived at his mansion with Andrea. Her eyes were completely shut. Andres brought her upstairs to his bedroom and dropped her on his king-sized-bed. He laid her head on the bed cushions and gently pulled out her heels. Shortly after, the nurse walked in and she advanced to the bed and sat besides Andrea.
Andres stood by the bed folding his arms staring at Andrea and his heart was racing.
The nurse held the stethoscope and placed it on Andrea's chest and she stood up to her feet pulling out the stethoscope.
"Is she okay?" Andres asked raising his eye brows.
"Your wife is fine. Her heart rate is normal, she isn't showing any signs of a fever. She is very okay."
"But, are you sure nurse? You see, she looked pale when I held her. Can you recheck her?"
The nurse chuckled, "Andres, your wife is okay. There's nothing to worry about."
"In that case, I'll escort you out."
"Okay."
Andrea slightly opened her eyes mumbling Andres's name. Andres heard her, and he turned to her. He trotted to her, and he sat besides her. Andrea held his arm tightly and he moved closer to her.
"Don't go...don't go." She muttered.
"I'll leave now." The nurse walked out.
"Celia, are you alright?" He stroked her cheek.
"No. I have a slight headache, " Andrea furrowed her brows, "can you please prepare me tamarind stew? And while you are at it, get me a....a plate of fresh strawberries."
"Okay. I'll be right back." Andres stood up and he left the room and Andrea chuckled.
She sprang up to her feet, spread her arms wide, "Yes! This is the life of a Harper." She snickered.
Andrea walked majestically towards the huge mirror hung on the wall.
"Who ever knew that your face Celia, would be a blessing in disguise? I am now, the madam of Andres's properties, " she wore a frown, "This is my territory."
Andrea walked to the wardrobe, she pulled it open, and was astonished with the gorgeous set of dresses arranged in the wardrobe. She stretched her hand towards a velvet purple gown, the beads on the dress, made it glitter.
Andrea grabbed the gown and held it close to her chest, and posed by the mirror, "I love this dress, it's gonna be my favorite." She chuckled, and frowned, "yuck! It smell of Celia. This dress is gonna smell of me ve-r-y soon."
She heard foot steps approaching the door, she threw the dress in the wardrobe, and ran back to the bed and lied down like a log of wood wrapping herself with the blanket.
Andres yanked the door knob, and walked in. "Here's your tamarind soup love."
"Thank you..." She muttered softly.
Andres dropped the bowl of soup on the table, and Andrea sat up slowly, Andres placed some pillows behind her head, and she leaned over it.
"Andres, can you feed me? My headache...." She groaned.
"Sure Celia." Andres held the plate, and dipped the spoon into the bowl, he blew off the steam, and stretched the spoon to her lips, Andrea sucked the soup looking into his eyes.
Her cheeks blushed, "it's so good."
Andres chuckled, "I'm glad you like it."
Andrea stretched her hand to his fondling his hand. Andres slowly dropped the bowl, and he leaned forward, Andrea grabbed his collar, they kissed and Andres took off his shirt, and lied in her arms.
Celia arrived at Andrea's condominium. She lied in the king-sized-bed of Andrea's bedroom shutting her eyes and images of her and Andres flashed through her mind and she opened her eyes wide and reached towards the lamp stand besides her bed, and switched it on.
She sat up in her white silky night dress, and she crossed her arms around her chest, and tears was bulging in her eyes.
"Why can't I fall asleep? You are doing the right thing Celia, stop feeling blue, rather be happy...." Tears uncontrollably fell from her eyes, "stop feeling this way. Don't."
She exhaled, "I miss you so much Andres." She grabbed a pillow and cuddle it lovingly.
