Queen Richenza was known for her outspoken character. Even if she wasn't the number one person in Grinia, she dared to speak even before King Gerold could open his mouth to speak.
Her sudden response was enough to freeze the atmosphere, and no one made a sound after the Queen made a statement. Even King Gerold looked surprised and didn't know what to say.
The silence was only broken by another voice that had just arrived, "Talking about marriage is like talking about rain. You could say it wouldn't rain today, but what if the clouds managed to form and produce drizzle later?"
The small group of people gathered with King Gerold turned to the source of the voice, finding King Alvon walking towards them with a smile plastered on his face.
Everyone else focused on the King of Wrelloven, but Elennora widened his brown eyes as he focused on the figure walking behind the wise King.
'Why is he following the King? Was he not a servant but a guard? He's King Alvon's guard? But, I've never seen him with the King when the King visited Grinia before today,' Elennora continued to stare at the familiar brown-haired man even after the man stopped walking and stood beside King Alvon.
The young man seemed to notice his gaze, and suddenly, he turned to him and smiled at him. Elennora was taken aback and immediately averted his gaze from the golden-eyed man. He didn't even know why he couldn't look at the pair of bright eyes directly, but he only knew that he was better off avoiding those gazes.
"If King Alvon has spoken, then I will not argue anymore. There is no King wiser than him, right?" King Ludwig finally spoke again before laughing in his deep voice.
King Alvon was known for his wise and fatherly character. He often appeared as the one who came up with the best solution when other Kings were troubled by some things.
So, when the King had spoken, he managed to break the ice that had enveloped them earlier. The atmosphere grew warmer, and even Queen Richenza chose to keep her mouth shut before stepping aside to make more room for King Alvon.
"Where did you go earlier, King Alvon? We were engrossed in chatting together, but you suddenly left without saying a word," King Gerold suddenly asked the other King.
Now, King Alvon was standing right next to Elennora after Queen Richenza decided to step aside. Standing behind him was the unknown man who had bumped into Elennora twice, and the pinkette looked a little uncomfortable as they were standing relatively close now.
"Ah, my apologies, King Gerold. My son suddenly wanted to talk to me, and I was in a hurry to see him earlier," replied King Alvon shyly.
Elennora, who was standing beside the King, glanced at the older man. 'The young man previously said that I would meet Crown Prince Levan soon, so I guess the Crown Prince is indeed here. And that man also said that he would meet King Alvon before he left me in a hurry, so maybe he relayed a message from the Crown Prince to King Alvon,' he couldn't help but analyze in his head.
"King Alvon loves his son very much, so of course, he will leave in a hurry if his son wants to speak to him," King Ludwig chimed in a cheerful tone as if to tease the King of Wrelloven.
"It's not like that," King Alvon immediately denied with a smile. "It's just that it's the first time my son has agreed to follow me when I visit a kingdom, and I'm just worried if he feels uncomfortable here."
This time, Elennora ventured to peek at the handsome man behind King Alvon. 'So, the Crown Prince of Wrelloven has never been to Grinia before? That's why I've never seen him in person, and I don't even know what he looks like,' he thought again.
Hearing King Alvon's answer, King Gerold chuckled. "Crown Prince Levan is no longer a child, but his father is still overprotective of him," he commented. "But I'm still honored that Crown Prince Levan of Wrelloven was willing to save my face by coming here. I remember he never agreed to come here even if I personally invited him."
Elennora frowned when he heard his father's words. 'What kind of person is the Crown Prince? My father often invited him personally, but he always rejected the invitation?'
It was not that Elennora cared about how one dared to decline the King's invitation, but he simply thought that such an attitude was impolite.
Even if the man named Levan held the title of the Crown Prince of Wrelloven, he still needed to maintain good relations with other kingdoms.
The pink-haired Crown Princess had learned a lot about being a Crown Prince or Crown Princess, and he knew that the positions had more responsibilities than being a Prince or Princess.
A Princess would only handle internal matters within the kingdom, but a Crown Princess needed to interact with people outside the kingdom for external affairs.
The same rule could be applied to the Crown Prince, and because of that, Elennora thought that the Crown Prince of Wrelloven was simply arrogant.
"Ah, right. I want to apologize for my son's disrespectful attitude," King Alvon even needed to apologize on his son's behalf, and that was quite embarrassing in Elennora's eyes.
He sneered as he continued to mock the Crown Prince of Wrelloven in his head.
"Why do you have to apologize for your son when your son is standing right behind you, King Alvon? Let him apologize directly," King Ludwig voiced his thought, and Elennora's smart brain immediately tried to process the words.
'Crown Prince Levan is standing right behind King Alvon? But, the person standing behind the King is…' Elennora once again caught a glimpse of someone standing behind King Alvon, and that person smiled at him before taking a step forward as the King stepped aside. Now the man was standing right next to him. 'What? He's Crown Prince Levan of Wrelloven?'
