Reese had just been dealt a low blow, so naturally, she could not lose out. "What a coincidence? I know you too—the dog that followed Julie Smith around!"
The werebeast was agitated. Although she was in fact from the dog tribe, she actually disliked her own species very much. "What dog!"
"Dog tribe."
With a slow, relaxed tone, Reese continued saying, "Relax, I know your name is Keri, but I am not friends with you at all. I'll do my share. I don't need you to 'favor' me."
The tension between them was palpable. It was unclear what the other human was thinking as she had her head lowered, but Reese could no longer care about her opinion at this juncture.
"Of course, I'll take care of you, my good friend." Keri was so incensed that she had to grit her teeth through each word, "I just want to arrange a more relaxing task for you."
With one hand, she dragged Reese to one end of the corridor. "This is your task today—not a lot. All the best with it."
