A giant screen emerged in front of me.

"What the hell is this?"

"What is going on?"

'No, am I still sleeping'

The environment is still unfamiliar to me. I came to the conclusion that this wasn't a hospital ward.

"Had I been discovered by the loan sharks?"

I jumped out of my bed while I was thinking about this.

Then I looked down at my body, which was completely free of injuries.

Suddenly, a thought occurred to me.

"Has something happened to my brain?"

otherwise

"There's no way. Is it possible that I'm imprisoned in a dream world as a result of the car accident in which I suffered a head injury and went into a coma?"

'No, this is far too realistic,'

With those thoughts in mind, I took a walk and glanced in the mirror.

"Haha..."

My mouth let out a little snicker.

'I'm not staring in the mirror at my own face.'

Then I instantly remembered and double-checked the name on the screen.

"David Foster"

'That is not my name,'

"Haha... Where the hell am I? "My mouth exploded in a cry.

****

"No, I need to relax and think clearly."

'Right now, I can't come to any conclusions.'

'Am I being examined in a laboratory?'

otherwise

'Is this another form of torment devised by the loan sharks for me?'

'Are you using me as a lab rat for a new drug?'

Other than that, there are no words to describe what is going on.

'There's no way.' 'Has my soul been transported to another realm, as in a web novel?'

"There's no way, right?"

I was looking for part-time work after abandoning my plans to attend university.

After that, I went to work for a library. The income wasn't great, but I needed to keep myself afloat till my necessities were met.

There was a fad among the young people at the time.

'Web novels had become a fashionable trend,'

Writing those used to be a pretty easy way for people to make money.

The quiet, run-down library has transformed into a lively gathering place for the public.

People used to consult old books for inspiration while writing a web novel.

I figured I could write an online novel and make money the same way they did.

Things aren't as straightforward as they appear, and I don't have much time to spare.

At the time, I was in dire straits.

I used to read them on occasion.

Most of them would be classic Hero vs. Demon King stories.

I used to enjoy them since the protagonists were usually impoverished, pitiful, and orphans, much like me.

"An orphan child from a destitute town dreams to become a hero one day and begins on a journey to fight against all odds and become a hero," the story goes.

The general public was enthralled by them, and even the authors used to write in a style that drew in the audience.

'That is why they make more money.'

At the time, I was reading a decent novel. I'd even gotten into the habit of paying the author for new chapters.

'It isn't for naught that 400 million dollars in debt have accumulated.'

'I even paid his hospital bill for ten million dollars.'

'That isn't the point here; I need to figure out what the hell is going on right now,'

Then an excruciating pain struck me in the head.

It made me feel as though I were dying all over again.

'You're not going to let me live or die properly.'

I lost consciousness once again after that.

****

After that, I gradually began to regain consciousness.

This time, when I opened my eyes, I was in the middle of a rich green landscape that stretched across the screen like a black space with no end.

I didn't see a single living thing in the area where my gaze could reach.

"I see nothing, nothing at all,"

There is a gorgeous sky spread like a bedsheet all over me on top and a big grassland all around me on the bottom. Making me feel like I'm at the center of everything and everything revolves around me.

"What the heck am I doing here?"

'Ah, I have no idea what to say at this point.'

I awoke as someone else at first, and now I'm in the middle of nowhere.

'This simply means one thing,'

'At this point, I'm being used as a lab rat to test a new medicine,'

What else can you say to explain this situation?

That's when I came to a conclusion.

"They're not going to let me leave here alive anyway."

I let out a sigh.

'At least this place appears to be more tranquil than the other one where I've been.'

I sat down on the grass after that.

'Ha, it's softer than the last bed I slept in,'

Actually, this location is incredibly tranquil and nice, which I have never experienced before.

Perhaps I should take a break.

Why ponder about it when they're going to kill me anyway?

"Ush, Let's put our heads down and get some rest. I haven't had a good night's sleep in a long time."

I closed my eyes after that.

after a while,

I was suddenly startled by a noise from behind me.

When I turned around to check what was making the noise, I discovered a man sleeping next to me.

I sprang to my feet and walked away.

'Where the hell did this guy come from?'

Then he turned around and addressed me, saying,

"Hello there, My friend! "He gave me a friendly wave.

"What? fri-end? What exactly are you referring to?" I frowned.

'As far as I recall, I didn't have any pals, to begin with.' 'Well, I was destined to be that way.'

'But isn't that beside the point?'

"Hello...!" he waved again, jolting me out of my reverie.

"I get what you're saying now. You have to be the self-consciousness that dwells within me. But you came outside to talk to me because of the drug's negative effects, right?"

'Haha... I'm a genius, so I immediately sorted out the situation this time.'

"Ppt..." came a quick burst of laughter from my side.

He turned around and covered his lips with his hands when I stared at him.

And,

He burst out laughing, "Heheheheh....hehehe...hehehe..."

"What are you laughing about?"

"Hahaha... You're even more of a naive moron than I anticipated."

Those words made me feel a little offended.

He straightened his posture, changed his attire, and began to speak.

"Ahem. You have the false impression of who I am. In the first place, I didn't expect you to guess that."

"You've truly irritated me now. Who are you, and what is your name?"

"Then please allow me to formally introduce myself,"

A huge wave slammed against me, bringing with it a lot of pressure.

'Wow, that's a lot of pressure.'

When I glanced at him, I had a glare that was so intense that I couldn't imagine what it was focused on.

It wasn't the same as regular pressure. It was mild but solid, making approaching it challenging.

I knelt and lowered my head unconsciously.

As he began to speak, the environment began to shift.

"I am the proud son of 'Lucas Gantrick Granham' and 'Lopez Tethoris Graham.'"

"My name is Arthur Velaris Graham,"

Behind him, a large throne began to appear gradually. And everything in my environment began to transform into a palace.

The enormous land and deep blue sky vanished as if they had never existed.

He began to slowly ascend the throne, which was bathed in a golden glow.

I'm not going to raise my head.

I felt as though I may be swallowed up by the pressure that surrounded me if I move an inch.

"I am the 'Kestramore's Supreme Ruler."

"The proud people of Kestramore refer to me as 'The King of all the Hell and Heaven.'"

"I am the creator of all the worlds, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent."

"I am Fate's ruler."

'I took many gulps.'

"I am the Supreme Being you refer to as 'God.'"

'I'm at a loss of words and thinking what to do next.'

He bent down and whispered into my ear.

"That's right, I'm the God you've been looking for all this time. The God who has decided your fate."

Sweat began to flow down like rain from my brow as if there was no end in sight.

'What have you gotten yourself into this time, you fucking moron?'

"At long last, we get to meet my friend."

'Fuck...' I cursed inside.
