I've gone over every single one of those weapons. They were excellent weapons. She wasn't lying when she mentioned she had a large collection. This is where you may find any type of weapon.
Despite the fact that they were all excellent weapons, none of them aroused my curiosity because they are not appropriate for my sword style. It would be a waste of my money to buy anything that isn't right for me.
I took my time to find the sword that would suit me but so far no luck on my side.
Then I saw a pile of weapons which were lying in a corner of the room. They were mostly rundown.
It wouldn't cost me anything to have a look and see if there's anything intriguing there.
I found a means to get there.
I began my search in that group. They were all old and rustic in appearance.
After witnessing them, I lost interest. I was going to leave when I came across a strange sword.
It was hidden among those weapons.
I walked over to it and took it.
'Wow.'
I was quite aback by how heavy it was. In my hand, I appeared to be much slimmer than when I initially saw it.
The sword was then taken from its sheath.
The sword slid out of its sheath silently, revealing the flat blade.
As I went into a trance, staring at the weapon far too magnificent to be considered an average weapon, I couldn't help but swallow a lump of air.
The narrow blade was straight and thin like a rapier's, but it had a double edge that allowed it to be used for both slashing and thrusting. I couldn't help but notice that there were no markings—that the blade had been sharpened—as the acute edge of the blade curved smoothly into a sharp tip. The sword's weight and balance were a little odd in my opinion, but it was still a lot better than the crude instruments I'd picked up previously.
However, even this flaw was overshadowed by the breathtaking quality and color of the blade.
The translucent teal hue of the blade seemed to almost generate a luster of its own, even inside the dim storage room. There was a stark contrast to the matte-black scabbard and handle, making the color of the blade all the more radiant.
It appears to be flawless. I walked over to a wooden container that had been placed nearby. I swing my sword against the wooden container to see how durable and strong it is.
In the first stroke, the wooden container just split open without any resistance.
"Whoa, whoa, Holy shit"
The sword's sharpness had just blown me away. It was flawless. After viewing that, I was speechless.
That is all there is to it. I'm going to buy this sword no matter what it takes.
I noticed a little engraving inscribed on the blade near the grip while closely inspecting the sword.
Gasp.
After reading the name inscribed on it, my heartbeat began to quicken.
"Joseph Segu"
That is, without a doubt, the Grandmaster. Oh, my God.
"Hahaha, it's unbelievable."
There is no doubt about it. It's the grandmaster. This sword belongs to the grandmaster.
"The more I explore the shorter the world is becoming."
I need to buy this sword at any cost.
"Well, did you find anything you like?" A voice came from behind.
I turned around and looked at her.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Interesting." She told me while looking at the sword I was holding in my hand.
"So do you like to buy this sword?" She asked.
"If you give a good price that is." Even though I said that there is no way I would let go of this sword. Not after knowing who is the previous owner.
"Here let me see it."
She took the sword to have a closer look.
A momentary silence prevailed between us.
"I never imagined that there is a sword of this stature lying here. You got a good eye for things." She gave a smirk looking at me.
There is no doubt now. I need to break my bank in order to buy this sword.
"It may your luck that no one has ever found this sword till now. And I will be very reasonable with you regarding the price."
I gave a nod.
After taking some time. She continued.
"So you know the value of this right, so there should be no questions regarding the price."
I stayed silent.
"2 million U. No questions asked."
Huh?
2 million U. That's 40 percent of my budget. But there is no need to think any further.
"I'm being generous here with the price. If I were to sell this sword elsewhere people would be lining up for buying this. It could go for more than 5 million U. So think about it." She said.
That is true. If they are selling those useless swords for half a million then they will be in high demand for this.
Sigh.
"All right, you've got a deal."
"Hehe. It was a wise decision."
****
With that, I made a deal with her and brought the sword.
The sword of grandmaster Joseph Segu.
Haha, this would be the biggest cheat one could get. First the sword art of the grandmaster and then his sword. There is no need for me to go for any other sword than this.
Luck.
This is the best thing I have ever done in my life. All these miracles are maybe the part and parcel of this.
Even though I spent most of the money, I'm so happy right now.
First I found the grandmaster's sword art and the grandmaster's sword found me. It is as if this was meant to happen.
As the saying goes, "The weapons will find their master."
Whatever the case may be. That is no longer relevant.
I received the grandmaster's sword, which is a huge fortune that can't be measured in money.
After I brought the sword, I brought some other things from her.
Like bigger dimensional storage where I could store all my stuff. It would come in handy when I want to go to a dungeon.
After I paid 2 million U for her, she was quite generous and I got some discounts for the remaining items I have brought.
I even brought a basic martial arts manual from her. It would come quite handy at the time. So I brought all the necessary things for a fruitful future.
The harder I work here, the easier it will be for me in the future.
I paid roughly 3.5 million U for everything I brought from her. I basically drained my pockets and am now poor again.
There are no hard feelings because my key objectives have been met. Paying the toll money every time I wish to come here would be challenging. As a result, I took my time and brought everything I needed.
If there is anything else I need, I may ask Christopher and he would take care of it. So there's no need to be concerned right now. Now that the strategy has been implemented, I must simply concentrate on growing my strength.
In the coming months, the money would start to flood in. The finances would be taken care of as a result.
I took a deep breath.
Sigh.
I collected my thoughts.
As I completed the work I need to do here, I made my way back to the campus.
It has been a long night. With a lot of surprises and quite a fortune for me as well as others. A new opportunity. A new connection.
It had been a wild ride all around.
I made my way back with a smile on my face thinking about all the things that had happened.
****
In the rundown shop, a spiral of laughter can be heard.
She was the dark elf from before. She was laughing in the corner of the room.
"Hmm. How many decades have been since someone wielded that sword? Bringing back a lot of memories."
She was there thinking about the things that had happened today.
"The sword of grandmaster. Haha..."
"It was to my surprise that someone from the human domain knows about the grandmaster."
Is it a coincidence?
"Hmm, nothing happens in this world by coincidence."
The grandmaster sword is also known as the blood-driven sword.
"Hahaha..."
Will the world once again be plunged into the darkness?
Will the bloodbath erupt once more?
Is the world capable of bearing it once more?
There are a lot of questions, but only a few answers.
"Fascinating. It's very amazing. It makes me shudder just thinking about it."
Someone had finally discovered the old man's will, which he had left somewhere.
That kind of power. Hmm.
"There is nothing that can be done. Perhaps it was fate that had summoned the monster once more."
"Will the taboo name spread its wings once more? Haha..."
"Joseph Segu"
The only way to know how things will turn out is to wait and see.
"The old man has finally found an heir. I'm curious as to what he'll do."
