"I will give you the opportunity that you have requested. Demonstrate to me that you're worth it."
"It will be a pleasure to work with you, Christopher Lane." I reached out and extended my hand to him.
He finally reached out and shook my hand after reorganizing himself.
"Yes"
There will most likely be a plethora of emotions coursing through his veins. It will be an excellent opportunity for him to demonstrate his ability, and for me, it will be an opportunity to make acquaintance with him.
It's a win-win situation for both of us.
****
I had never expected to run into him here. What's more intriguing is that he went out of his way to find me. This would be the most memorable interaction I'd had since entering this realm.
I no longer have to be concerned about my personal finances. Money will start rolling in before I know it. It makes me drool just thinking about it. This is a huge win.
For him, this is the first-ever deal he made so he will do his absolute best to accomplish whatever his first customer desires.
'Haha yes. You should have such kind of resolve to accomplish your future goals.'
Then the person from the {Grimm Reapers} appeared.
Before I could talk to him a huge amount of blood lust was directed towards Christopher.
'Wow, that's insane.' What did this guy do to get such a reaction?' I found myself in a predicament.
"I've already warned you that the day you set foot inside this mansion will be the last day of your life." His fury was audible in his voice. He is really pissed.
His physique exerts a tremendous amount of pressure. He's on the verge of achieving a D-rank. That was clear to me. If he decides to assault Christopher, I won't be able to stop him on my own. Even if I attempt, I shall be defeated completely.
'Fuck. Why do things always turn ugly when everything seems to be going so well?'
'Dammit. 'Can't you just let me be happy for a little while?'
"I've always urged you not to bother my customers on a regular basis. You, on the other hand, never paid attention. Maybe I was a little too kind to you." He drew his sword from his belt.
"See, listen..." before I could talk to him he rushed towards Christopher.
"I believe I should put an end to your pitiful existence right now."
'Fuck'
Before his blade could reach Christopher's neck, I dashed at him with drifting steps, drew my sword, and deflated his with it.
"Heek," I said, biting my lower lip. He wasn't joking when he stated he'd end Christopher's life.
His sword misses to reach Christopher because of me and I stood in front of Christopher. There is no turning back at this point.
His rage is now directed towards me rather than Christopher.
"Do you have any idea what you're doing?" He inquired of me.
"That is, in fact, the question I should be asking you. What exactly are you trying to accomplish by attacking one of my acquaintances?" I retaliated.
"Your acquaintance?" He was perplexed.
"Yes, you've already started attacking him without even listening to what I'm saying."
Christopher began to close the distance between us. He has a good sense of what's going on in the room.
When he realized what had happened, he apologized.
"I apologize profusely for any inconvenience I may have caused you." While bending his head, he said.
"As long as you understand, it's fine."
'Oof, for a split second I believed he wasn't going to stop and would attack me for interfering.' Fortunately, things did not turn out that way.'
I then turned around to face Christopher. He shook his head and nodded.
That's fantastic. He should be grateful to me for saving his life. In some ways, this incident has helped me in winning even more of his trust. I'm quite fortunate.
"I assume you don't need any help from the {Grimm Reapers}?" While glancing at Christopher, the man inquired.
He is also quick to read the room. Maybe be he had seen this fellow coming in and disturbing his business for quite a few times. So much so that the man from {Grimm Reapers} is ready to kill him without any second thoughts.
"Not for the time being," I said.
"Hmm."
Then I took a bag containing 100,000 U and placed it on his desk.
He verified the amount in the bag after opening it. His face lit up with a grin.
"Consider it a commission charge and reimbursement for the miscommunication that occurred today. And perhaps we will be able to work together in the future." I stated.
"Hmm. For this kind customer, the doors will always be open." He said that with a nod of his head.
Even though it was a clumsy evening, everything went off without a hitch in the end.
With a smile on my face, I walked out of the house along with Christopher.

After that, I drove him to a neighboring restaurant to feed him something. If I leave him like way, it appears that he will starve to death. I pulled him to the restaurant despite his protests that he was alright.
We grabbed a table in the restaurant's far corner.
I looked at the menu on the table, and everything on it seems extremely pricey. At least twice as much as at a traditional restaurant. And this black market restaurant isn't particularly fancy enough to justify such a high price, but what can I do? One must adapt to the conditions.
"Sir, I warned you that the food would be costly. There's no need to squander money on me right now. I'm going to be fine." He has been bothering me about this the entire time I've been here.
What the hell is his problem? I'm the one who'll be paying, so why can't he just shut up and eat whatever he wants?
Growl ~ growl
Sigh.
"I instructed you to keep your mouth shut and eat whatever you wanted. Didn't bother me like this. Even after seeing your rumbling stomach, you keep on telling me that you're fine?"
He went completely silent.
"Just shut up and eat."
Then I gave a quick wave to the waiter.
"Good evening sir. What would you like to order for your dinner?" The waiter had inquired.
"Get that fellow's greatest supper ready, and a cup of Ramen for me."
"That's excellent. It'll be delivered in a jiffy."
The waiter took our order and walked away.
"S-Sir?"
"I warned you to keep your mouth shut." With his constant pestering, he's definitely getting on my nerves.
He stopped bothering after that.
He is going to be my exclusive cash cow for a few months or years so I at least need to make sure that he is strong and healthy. So that he can do a good job.
The dinner arrived at our table after a few minutes.
"Sir, here is your order. Please enjoy your meal." After bringing the dish, the waiter walked away.
I looked at his face. While staring at the food, he was glistening. His mouth began to drool.
Gulp.
His gulping sounds were audible.
"Christopher Lane."
He fixed his gaze on me.
"All right, let's get down to business. Shall we?"
