What comes into your mind when your genetics has to do with your nature?
There was such a dumb review on Facebook Group Poll that I've seen when I turned on my phone.
"I probably don't give a damn about it." Such response is normal, seeing every people commenting about their circumstances was making me interested also on their regular lives.
To be honest, I came across a group called "Life Hacks 101". The random newsfeed caught me off guard as I got deeply immersed in the video showing a guy improving his social life by lifting weights. Not until I joined this group, it was totally different from what I've expected.
There were guys who are undoubtedly narcissistic that they took photos of themselves showing their handsome and beautiful appearances to gather likes and praises. It's like posting viral video on internet about a handsome guy baiting some gold diggers.
So, we're back again with genetics have to do with nature. I was entirely perplexed that I am not the only one who experienced this.
Most likely, 40% of this group shares the same genetic factors making their reality, socially awkward.
"My father was a principal in John Luke Academy, he was regarded as the most fluent speaker by his peers. He even had a glib tongue that would satisfy every people rendering his service. My mother was totally the opposite. She swears every single day that she cannot live without swearing. I can't believe she made a quarrel yesterday with my neighbour because of a neighbour's cat stealing the tilapia fish she bought home." I can't help but laugh at how my mother and I are the same, but deeply hated by the fact that I didn't inherited her looks. My mother was probably the most beautiful woman I've known in town.
(Author's Note: He isn't a mom-con.)
In other words, I am completely average looking but having a gloomy atmosphere. If people would recognize me, they would glance away because of my intimidating behaviour that I got from my Dad, who was also average.
I didn't hate it, in fact I accepted it because this is probably because of my genetics.
I look up on the clock, it's already 7:00 A.M. I ate my breakfast and just was about to leave..
"Gabby, come here for a moment." My mom sternly said, her eyes were very dangerous today. What the hell did I do?
"I went to school yesterday. Your reports are very intriguing. I assume you already know?" She smirked devilishly. Her lips were saying that if I said something dumb, I won't definitely get an allowance next week.
So I said to her everything smoothly, with details regarding to my report, about my high school life and how I am fine without getting bullied.
She nodded, satisfied by my half-truth and lies.
As we were conversing, the door knocked and my dad opened the door and smiled at me.
"Son, about your school. I talked to the principal the other day ask him to recommend you to a Prestigious University in Davao. He agreed immediately."
Fuck, I can't do anything but getting spoiled by my parents.
"Dad, you just made a decision by yourself. Aren't you worried that I'll become rebellious if you brazenly made a decision about my future." It was yet polite but rather insulting. But my father just laugh it off and paid heed no mind.
"No, no. I think you misunderstood something son, I just wanted to ask you if you're okay with attending university? It's your choice after all."
He smiled and gently and patted my shoulders.
"I know you're worried about that sharp tongue of yours. But whenever someone misunderstood that harsh word with kind intentions, choose the person who knows you better."
Yes, I knew my father was deeply worried about my genetics. I've had no friends, even childhood friend girl who I expected but reality hits harder than what I've expected from a romantic comedy.
'It's tragic. Everyone can be a main character, but I'll be a stepping stone of a delinquent waiting to be trampled by some handsome boys in school.' I sighed inwardly, but always looking forward about my new chapter of life.
"Don't worry about Gabby, husband. He'll definitely get a friend sooner." Seeing her sarcastic remarks made me want to get out of this house as soon as possible.
"I'll be leaving~" greeted by goodbye, I left.
-------
It was morning, but the blazing sun was making me sweat.
It was 38C degrees and it was barely June, the start of school. I can already see students having a group of conversation about their last year's event. It made me curious since these students are wearing the same uniform but I can't barely recognize them.
'So they're the new students, huh.' I stared at them while they suddenly felt a gaze coming from a delinquent looking youth.
"D-dude, did you see that student? He's definitely that type of guy who would bully new students likes us." The four eyed student murmured at his group of friends, afraid of hearing their conversation.
'Oi, I can hear your voices idiots! Should I come after them? What the hell am I doing? I just walked towards them.
'Ugh this was too akward.' I can hear their audible voices, their expressions of fear and ragged breathing.
'Do I look like a criminal to you!' My expression darkened as I was about to rebuke them.
"Reyes, you should not bully these fledglings. You're already making a ruckus here!" A girl who was 172 cm tall was glaring at me with her heroic stance. She's definitely the person I wanted to avoid. Her name was Haru Valdesco, the school's representative of my class. She was blessed by charming appearance as well as talents in studying. She was the perfect version of my opposite self.
"Fuck off. I'm tired of this bullshit. I just wanted to go to school but this kid just murmured about me. Isn't he the one offending me?" I harshly said, not giving a damn about their shock countenance of my sharp tongue.
"Y-you, okay! Leave these students alone and get out." She got stuttered by the remarks that went out of his mouth. It was too vicious. Despite that, she stood calmly as if she was a knight clad in shining armour.
The new students were glaring at her, admiringly. Now, even the four eyed guy was simping her.
Tsk, I'm outta here.
Aside from these happenings, the school office just went uproar from the reports that came out from this delinquent's writings.
"It was Gabriel's report. I'm looking forward to it." A women in her thirties laughed as she glance at the conspicuous message that even left her dumbfounded.

(Hey! I am the author of this novel. I already expected some readers would criticize this. But I am okay with it, as a Filipino. English was really hard, the choice of my words are also filled with errors. But I'm hoping somebody would read this and give me some feedback! Thanks for reading!)
