Yao Tang had seen a ton of gentle guys in her lifetime, but there was something about Yang Nian that made her think that he was hiding something else.
"What's the matter?"
"I think I'll be more comfortable in speaking with you outside, if that's okay with you."
She was about to reject him directly, but upon being reminded of what Principal Kong had said earlier, she nodded. "Fine," she stated. "Let's go."
Yang Nian brought her to an empty classroom.
"What's the matter?"
"I actually called you out because I wanted to apologize to you," he said slowly, sincerity shining in his eyes.
She didn't say anything in response.
"What happened in the classroom was all due to Yan Wei. She was just too impulsive. I hope you wouldn't hold that against her. She does apologize for her actions."
"It's fine."
Yao Tang nodded. There was no other expression on her face as she stepped back, indicating that she was about to leave.
