At the dining table, Yao Tang was able to put up an act with her Second Uncle Yao Family for the sake of not returning to Yao Yuan's villa. After all, that was what she had wanted.
However, she knew that all of that was simply an act. She never took what Jiang Wan and Yao Rong had said to heart. Now that they had finally left the dining room, she could finally leave them as well. What she didn't expect were their reactions.
Jiang Wan's heart ached.
It seemed that Yao Tang had already drawn a line between them. By calling them her uncle and aunt, she had shown that she didn't belong to either Yao Yuan's family or theirs.
Did she think that they didn't care about her?
Clasping Yao Tang's hand, she took a deep breath. "Tangtang, you've been living on the school campus for months," she started to say. "Once the holidays come, where would you stay? Why don't you stay with us? We have a small room at home, and we'd love to have you there."
