After a few minutes, Yao Tang's phone lit up once more. This time, the caller was Yao Yuan.
She didn't even bother looking at her screen as she clicked the "reject" button. Immediately, her gaze shifted back to the game where one of her subordinates had managed to win the championship.
As soon as the round had ended, she shifted into a more comfortable position. She blinked. There was a sense of arrogance in her movements. However, this came as no surprise to everyone in the room.
Just then, another hand appeared beneath her, holding a glass of water.
Yao Tang gazed up to meet Cheng Yan's dark eyes. The corners of her lips twitched upward. "Thank you."
She was drinking her water when Yao Yuan had called her the second time around. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, she finished her glass and finally clicked the answer button.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you picking up the call?"
