After hearing Elder Nie's words, President Tan turned to his deranged appearance. His wide smile and bright eyes made his stomach stir.
He had a bad feeling about this.
Tan Jian hurriedly used his stick to knock away the men surrounding him. At this point, most of Elder Nie's men had already scattered, with many of them falling to the ground.
President Tan, however, appeared to be distracted as he stared at his student.
Was she really poisoned?
He frowned.
Just the thought of Yao Tang's pained expression was enough to make him uncomfortable.
They rushed toward his student. As the girl now posed no threat to him, Elder Nie didn't bother to stop them. He was far too drunk at the thought of the girl dying right before his eyes.
As he neared, President Tan could see that Yao Tang's fingers had turned a dark shade of purplish-green. His eyes widened by a fraction.
She really was poisoned!
