Xiao Feng pretended to be oblivious to her voice as he raced through the forest. All he could do was pray to the universe that she wouldn't be able to catch up.
However, no matter how fast he had gone, he still wasn't able to evade her.
"Fine! I'll stop, I'll stop," he pants out, raising his arms up to the sky. His legs were shaking to the point that he thought they'll just give out on him. "Please. Please have mercy."
If he continued running away from her, he'd probably die right then and there.
Yao Tang raised an eyebrow. "You took something from me."
She didn't phrase it as a question, but rather, as a confirmation.
"Please have mercy. I didn't do it on purpose," he pleaded. "It was an accident! I didn't know that I'll come across an array, and the only reason I solved it was that I was curious. I didn't know that the thing inside was yours!"
This person was strong, far stronger than anyone would think.
