Before the sun rises in the morning, the bonfire that they created had turned into ashes. That made their surroundings dark except for the entrance of the cave where the dawn light is visible. That is the only light that supported the cave and only a few rays of it came to the inside.
However, an abrupt noise was heard by Scott that came from what seemed to be at the outside of the big cave that they were staying in for the whole night.
And with that, he sat properly and gently placed Rayzel's head into the ground which was covered with his coat. As she was still sleeping peacefully hence, she never opened her eyes even though he's doing it.
And he carefully walked towards the entrance of the cave. His calm eyes became active and vigilant as he observed his surroundings. He was walking at a slow pace trying to not make a sound.
He tried to hide from the big rock situated not far from the mouth of the cave as the noise kept going.
