Witnessing their rational thinking and amazing acts, she should recruit them to her so-called counterattack cannon fodder team!
Correct! The three of them were actually her kind, cannon fodder! At the beginning of their presence previously, she simply thought they were just some ordinary students who loved joining the fun. However, as the time she eyed them more, astoundingly she detected that their gazes would always end up falling on the male protagonist. Only until that second did she understand that they were the trio cannon fodders, the same kind as her, with a miserable ending as hers, no-no, more wretched than hers! After all, they were eaten by zombies!
Pursuing the story of the trio wretched, they began to encounter unfortunate incidents soon after they made a clear line with the male protagonist, cutting off all the connections between the male protagonist and them entirely. In the following scene, their bad ending happened on the first stage of the tournament where the participant must gather at least the settled score by collecting the zombie nucleus to advance to the next round. The trio unexpectedly entered the territory of high-level zombies where they breathe their last breath...
Anyhow, based on the story, their separation happen not long after the male protagonist got together with the female protagonist. Yet noticing this scene, it seemed like she had accelerated their separation. Well, it was all good, as she also was able to recruit--cough, befriend with them sooner!
Teacher Nandano assigned the punishment based on their part joining the commotion previously. For the onlookers, they were pretty lucky as they simply need to clean the field. For Arawinda, the chubby girl, the tall girl, and surprisingly the friend of Kencana who left all of sudden formerly, was assigned to help the cleaner throw the collected trash of their grade to the garbage dump on the corner of the academy. While for Bhahran and the trio, their task was tougher as they broke the
As for Kencana...
"Make a report of your mistake and send it Dean of Disciplinary. She's the one who will assign your task based on your minus discipline score."
Kencana was about to open her mouth to voice out her complaint, wishing that he would lessen her punishment. However, seeing Teacher Nandano's harden and solemn-faced, she could only forcibly swallow her back her protest and walk away to proceed with her report.
Bhahran watched her dejected small back leaving his sight with some sadness. He stealthy glanced around the active and focusedly occupied students, making sure no one was paying attention to him before stepping, approaching his father quietly.
From afar, Arawinda caught a glimpse of their small interactions, and fall into a tangled mind. Surely, right now, with how often Bhahran requested his father to support Kencana, he might meddle on his son's problem sooner or later. The plot went out of the way to another level of direction, leaving her contemplating whether she chose the right path to suddenly reform the scene just to ensure her safety... or rather result in her danger?
Regardless of that, she shouldn't depend on the story entirely, merely took some parts to speculate the probable outcomes and estimate the satisfactory strategy based on the present circumstances.
For example, in the story, the relationship between Bhahran and his father would crack because of Kencana, and take a long time for him to accept their relationship willingly, almost at the end of the story. It was easy to see that Teacher Nandano was somewhat displeased at his son's choice of a partner. And adding the fact of his personality who adored honorable and powerful aspects, then discovering a girl, with the exact opposite of those two, was actually standing side by side with his son which he spent a lot of effort to thoroughly educated him single-handedly, won't he be mad?
Anyway, she guessed this time Teacher Nandano most likely would spend his time on his son who began to madly in love with the female protagonist, and won't have much time to put her, a lonely and helpless girl with defective core, into his mind, as he never took her as a threat at all. Especially, the chain he put on her was still available at the moment, the girlfriend of his son, thus he won't worry she might run away at all. Then in that period, she had to strengthen her defense quickly.
"Arawinda! The cleaner is here! Let's go!"
Arawinda turned her gaze unhurriedly toward the chubby and the tall girl not far from her, seemly patient in waiting for her to join them.
These two girls, in the story, were merely passersby who simply wanted to take advantage of her golden key by befriending her. Later in the story, once her golden was stolen, they left her without even looking back, or even there was a trace of reluctance.
Digging in her memories some information about them, then judging by their fury appearance and how they were so worked up when her necklace was on the hands of the female protagonist, those two girls indeed a greedy one. The great thing was Danastri wasn't that stupid to let them borrow it.
Let's just cut off with them from now.
"I'll go on my own."
The chubby girl looked at her ignorant expression feeling offended. They both had assisted her when the bitch Kencana confronted her yet what's with her attitude?!
Understanding her friend's temper, the tall girl hurriedly patted her shoulder, indicating that she should take care of the rest. She glanced at the noble-looking girl calmly, "Why?"
Oh, she, a greedy one, was actually a pretty sensible girl! Pity, she won't add her into her future friend circle.
Arawinda smiled lightly and raised her index finger, shaking it at her, "No why. Just because." However, after saying that, she raised the second finger then the third one, before shaking her three fingers at her.
The tall girl seems to perceive her meanings, as stood still with rigid muscles like a nail stuck on the wood. She gaped at her with some horror before dragging the bewildered chubby girl away with her.
Smugly satisfied with their reaction, Arawinda leisurely proceed to accomplish her task by following a different cleaner from them.
.....
"Ugh..."
A girl with messy red hair lay motionlessly under her wrinkled quilt on the double bed of hers inside her private dormitory room, groaning and lamenting for the nth time this morning...
... Who else but Arawinda?
"Hiss!"
All of sudden the girl whizzed in irritation and annoyingly kicked away the quilt on her which fell to the ground pitifully, sat up blankly on the bed with her mouth gape, gathering her will to move. If one looks clearly at her face, not only would one find a trace of saliva on both of her cheeks, also would discover the round black bags under her red and dried eyes as a result of her short sleep...
Hm, short sleep, by the reason she had been reading all the books related to this world all at once! If she could be honest then... marathoning Korean dramas and Animes were even better than reading all these history books!
That's right ah, she had been sitting in the library for hours non-stop in the past few days that she almost got varicose veins too on her legs of this charming body! For the sake of her beautiful legs, she chose to halt her visit to the library and plan to go to the training center.
Arawinda unwillingly forced herself to move, preparing herself to fill her absence today, but still be an absentee from the lessons. She already doing it thus far, resuming the routine left by Danastri. Thankfully, she simply lost some extra scores for the paper examination which was usually sought by the level one brain-- inferior students to the aspect of memorizing.
Her department was categorized as an active one, called as Active Department, where the students concentrated on their core ability, instead of sitting all day long reading books. Of course, their score for the examination should focus on the operation core. Whilst the result of the paper examination solely for additional on their academy report, to be exact for the summary signing up for work. However, one could immediately understand if the students were good at this aspect or not just by glancing at the real score present on it.
So how did Danastri end up in this department even with her useless core? All of this, thanks to her brain love brother. He was truly competent to the point of almost filling up the half-empty Achievement Hall with his accomplishments yet he was doing it for her sake, to receive a golden cape, to be precise, the golden key of Active Library. At the moment his effort was paid back, he end up giving the golden cape to her on the spot, leaving the whole academy speechless at his sister complex. For the golden cape was for the Active Student, hence willing or unwilling, the Academy must transfer her to the Active Department.
As for the golden key, at that time, her brother still hold it on him as he was busy in and out the highest floor of the Active Academy, rummaging all the books available, wishing to find some theory of empty core... But as he was deceived to go by Teacher Nandano, the key finally fell onto her hand.
Arawinda see her reflection on the full body-length mirror, turned her body here and there, feeling proud of her beauty and elegance. Her appearance in the past life was just so-so, it could be imagined too how her parents looks like, although she never ever know them. In the past, as an orphan reaching adulthood, all she did was do part-time jobs aside from studying like a madman. Then at the present where she truly needed to study again... Sigh, she really didn't want to work her brain too much again, but what could she do about it?
She really wish to play around and watched those students doing awesome magic, yet an academy, even teaching and learning some magic power like this, was still a school after all. As a student once felt the privilege of being a smart student, she didn't want to be left behind and looked down on by those magicians who rarely used their brains to read!
Harboring those thoughts, she determinedly visited the Basic Library which was full of Submissive Students, and madly learned about this world. Pity, even after struggling to memorize that knowledge, only some clung to her brain.
This planet was called Marcapada with one satellite, or moon, called Soma. There were three eras mentioned in the books; Suwi, Rame, and Anyar Era.
Suwi Era was an era where there weren't any zombies infection at all. If she could explain it simpler, then it was almost the same as her old life. It existed hundred years ago before the zombie infection occurred which was named as Rame Era. The fight between humans and infected zombies lasted long before the human could build their defense, finally could survive easier and their life became stable. And so emerged a new era, Anyar Era, where she was in right now. Compare to the old one, the conditions of this era were far better, almost like living in a small community, except for being surrounded by zombies.
In this era, there wasn't any city or town, even a village, only a base which normally as big as a small town. The base she was currently standing, ran and rolling around back and forth was called Sanjaya Base, a neutral yet powerful base with harmonious residents. As it was neutral, the base rarely being loot target by other bases and even occasionally being targeted, the base defend was extremely sturdy, won't need to worry whether they would be lost in a fight.
Why? Because this base was the first base willing to care and even nurture promising young seedlings into a mature ones, before letting them join their unite for protecting the base. The one training him was generally the pension guard, whether they were old one or one with permanent injuries. For many pension guards coupled with many promising and talented young seedlings, then born be Sanjaya Academy being operated by the pensions.
