Eda
I have never felt pain like the kind I felt with whatever injection my mom put in my neck. It was like lava filled my bloodstream making my entire body want to burst from the heat.
I can’t focus on what’s being said between Osborn and Master Wraith, I’m in too much shock. Master Wraith calls me a ‘good girl’ and then he and my mother leave the room. My legs can’t hold my weight anymore and I crumble to the ground.
Osborn walks out of the cell and I wonder when it got unlocked. He looks at me, his eyebrows furrowed, his mouth in a deep frown, and yet, he leans down and picks me up. My head falls against his chest and for a moment I feel safe.
The steady sound of his heartbeat helps me to relax. The sound of his footsteps echoes as he leaves the building and walks toward the Scarlet Pack.
He asks, “Is that where they stay?”
I shake my head no, “They change locations frequently. Now that you know about this one it is likely that they’ll never come back to it.”
