Yuan'an City.
A place where four counties converge, with few mountains and plenty of flat ground, the fiscal resources within its borders are quite plentiful.
Yuan'an City is the fief of Lord Ji Wu, who nominally has no administrative power, but with the title of a Mahayana Cultivator, no one dares to provoke him. Privately, many local officials are related to the Je's family, so his words carry great weight here.
Lord Ji Wu wasn't very concerned about taxation and corvée labor. Whatever silver he received, he would directly reinvest it into road construction or bridge building. Over time, Yuan'an City became a crucial traffic hub, with the flow of merchants increasing and the livelihood of the residents growing more prosperous.
Today, Yuan'an City is unusually quiet, with few people in the streets and alleys. Those who do appear are in a hurry, either rushing home from the pharmacy or eager to go out to a street full of food, drink, and entertainment.
