Southward of Zhaoqin, where the lost ancients dwelt, rumours of large tombs frequently surface, quite popular among those who dwell beneath the earth.
The southern border occupied a vast territory, about the size of Wu Zhou. Due to its geographical connection to the Mangyin Mountain Range and the icy sea, there are often surges of spiritual energy. Monsters drift across the sky, hence the sparse population.
At its core, Zhaoqin doesn't have this piece of land called the southern border. It doesn't even count as a subordinate state.
This patch of land was too eerie. No one dared to include it in their territory. It defaulted to a buffer zone, a public territory where several surrounding countries could meddle.
Similar to the Red Sky Desert south of Wu Zhou.
Ordinary people would struggle to move about in the southern border, but not the cultivators, especially the high-ranking ones. They could reside here for hundreds of years without stepping out.
