Charis walked into her home when she saw a familiar face, wasn't that? "No, they couldn't do that right? At least not when Charity was home." She mumbled to herself, shaking her head. Walking around the gate she pushed the door open when she heard her parents arguing.
"You didn't have to hit her! Why do you keep chasing my daughter away from me?!" Her mother screamed.
"You say how she behaved before the priest! How could she be so insolent, after the lie she told that nearly ruined the man's life, she comes back to my house and I am generous enough o let her stay how can she be so insolent?!" Her father yelled.
Charis' lips parted, so that was the Priest that- shaking her head she stood outside the door slowly getting overwhelmed by the feelings that threatened to consume her, how could parents do this to their own child? At least if they didn't believe her, at the very least, couldn't they at least be considerate? What kind of religion were they practicing?
