Austin came of the shock as he heard the door closing. Before he could utter something the jeep vanished in front of his eyes. Austin held his forehead, it would be difficult to meet him and change his decision.

40 minutes drive to his villa Asher covered in just 15 minutes. Like a robot he mechanically changed in his pyjamas, He made black coffee for himself. Knowing that he would not be able to sleep Asher went to his study room. Immersed himself in the work.

The incoming call made him snap out of his state. Clearing his mind Asher picked up the phone. Looking at the name flashing Asher sighed and received the call.
Yes Alec He said in same monotone cold voice.

Without waiting for Ashers reply he continued
Mr. Asher Hale what are doing up so late. If you have so much free time why not help me with some work. Alec said dramatically.
Knowing what his friend was up to Asher let out another long sigh. Before Asher make a sound he heard Alec fake sob. My boss is very strict now you are my last straw. He fake cried.
Irritated by his friend dynamics Asher threatened. Come to the point or else i will hang up.
Heartless Alec mumbled before he becomes serious.

Austin told you Asher stated. Don't try to convince me otherwise he said threateningly as he leaned back and rested his head on the head rest of his chair. Closing his eyes Asher exhaled inaudibly. He was tired but it was so hard to sleep. Asher could feel his head pulsating with pain. He exhaled another sigh as he continued I told you I am not interested last time but you insisted now I will not budge.
Alec could hear the the pain and tiredness in his monotonous voice which made him silent.
Are you Okay he asked. all Alec wanted to do was to break his rhythm even though Asher was the leader but he participated in Organization affairs in first year, strengthening the organization and build a strong foundation then concentrated on the business. With no family Asher devoted his youth in his business with same routine. But this cooperation he thought could bring something new. Alas...
I am fine replied Asher again with no fluctuation in his voice. His appearance said otherwise. Messy hair with sweating all over. His expression less face marred with pain. One moment of relaxation made him aware of how's his body condition is. His phoenix eyes narrowed as he focused it on the laptop screen. For him night time was most vulnerable as nightmare plague his dreams but the most secure time as he hid from the world. Not wanting to talk further Asher bid Alec goodbye. Collecting his emotions as they erupted Asher once again killed all the emotion he was feeling while ago. He couldn't afford it. Heart of stone was what suited him he reminded himself.
Glancing at the clock Asher decided to lay down for a while. Sliding his phone in his pocket he stood up and walked to his room.

Days passed in blurr, Asher was busy with the new project, With little sleep keeping himself busy to stay away from unnessaccary things.
Sitting behind the desk in his office. Asher didn't go to A.Corps he chose to work from his office of the Restaurant and Cafe's. Opposite to A.Corps he owned the building. It was convenient for him.
Asher donning Grey shirt, black pants and his army boots wearing his infamous expression on his face Asher was concentrating on computer. Rotating a pencil in his hand indicating he was frustrated. This was how Alec found him when he entered his cabin with 3 more people after lightly knocking his door. This time Isaac was not around.
Asher looked up and swept his gaze on the intruders. His aura changed as he glared at Alec. Before Asher could frost him with his icy cold gaze Alec rushed to explain.
I don't know how they entered, I just came here to ask you for lunch and met them outside the office.
Even though He was not surprised to see them there. But thinking how Alec brought them enraged him.
The young man behind Alec. Who had had brown hairs with beautiful deep blue eyes. His red lip were slightly plump with cheek and jaw prominent. The man was slightly shorter than Asher. He had domineering aura around him but he gave jolly vibes. Shrugged his shoulders hesitantly and without caring of others he walked up cautiously and stood in front of his desk.
After a minute of deadly silence Asher gestured them to take a seat as he asked Austin why they were here. Austin proposed to have lunch.
Asher glanced at his wrist watch. Indeed it was almost lunch time but knowing the reason behind the invitation Asher refused. He wasn't interested in involving himself with them anymore.
Just give me ten minutes and let me wrap my work. Asher told Alec. Take them to the meeting room.
No hurry! Complete your work we will wait. said Xavier. Looking at Asher demeanour Xavier was having a very strong feeling. The colour brought many memories that were shut tightly. But Xavier didn't dare think further. His impression of Asher was pretty good and some conjectures erupted in his mind which he forcefully suppressed.
The young man Noah who arrived with Austin and Xavier was surprised but he hid his expressions. He looked at Xavier who was calmly standing beside. But was surprised to see Asher. He internally screamed looking back and forth at Asher and Xavier. He continued to observe Asher even in the meeting room.
After 10 minutes Asher wrapped up his work and were seated in meeting room. He wanted to hand all information on the recent case he previously collected even though he withdrew from the case he was not heartless to hold back the information he collected. Plus It would be the last favour he would do to Austin.
Asher was planning to send the USB but since they are here he decided to hand it over now.
Asher was not interested in these things, thats why he didn't participate in the activities of the organisation. He didn't want to delve into complicated things anymore, everything is tiring for him already.
