Synopsis
Hundreds of years into a dystopian future, the world was destroyed and remade, and in the process, some humans gained magic. Some could control fire, some could control water, some could control the wind, and some could control the earth. Some could do miraculous healing. Magical humans, known as an Elementalist, would be sent to a school that specializes in their Elemental Magic: fire, wind, water, earth, or healing. Each Elemental school is in a different part of the world, each their Elemental area a 'kingdom'. You're not allowed to step into a kingdom you're not the same element as unless you were given special permission. The only place where you could meet up with a different element safely was in Servi, the only part of the world that wasn't remade, and was a horrible place to be. That was where normal humans, ones that didn't gain magical abilities, were forced to stay. Now, a looming threat of shadowy monsters that will invade the world and kill all its occupants has arisen. Where magic and power and wealth are all that matters and no unity on hand, is the world doomed for destruction?

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Start

"Thank you for the service you are doing for your kingdom! Here is a medal for your bravery!"

Daphne plastered on a smile as her parents talked to other impressed adults, shaking the hands of others congratulating her. Once off the stage and back in her room, Daphne's smile dropped. She opened her closet as she started packing her things, tossing the medal she had just received aside. As if a medal was going to help her.

She was being sent to the SEWOP (Save the Earth Worldwide Operation) base. It was exactly as its name said: a worldwide operation to save the world from the shadow monsters attacking threatening to invade and kill them all. The only reason she had agreed to go was that she wasn't about to be a sitting duck, just waiting for them to come to attack her when she had absolutely no information.

Once she had everything ready, she pulled out a family photo of her and her family and ripped it apart. Her parents didn't care about her, she was their trophy, they were her caretakers, and that was it. Now that she was becoming part of the SEWOP, the only thing she could do to top that is to save the world. If she couldn't manage that, she would be of no use to them.

She thought about the people who lived in Servi. All the people without magic had been tossed as a live meal to the shadow monsters to slow down the invasion, and anyone that had elemental magic (children that had been born from an Elementalist and an non-Elementalist) had been brought to their respective kingdoms, even though they were still treated like scum and vermin. The whole world was like that, really. Before this, she had heard of the world when there were no magical powers whatsoever. Such injustice was present back then, but not to this extent. Good was something that was nearly never hoped for, and if it did appear, was crushed before he had a chance to blossom.

Sighing, she lay down on her bed for the last time, staring up at the sky and wondering who would she meet? Would she like them? Would she survive? Would the world perish?
