Maria parked her car in front of the hospital and got out of the car. She held the map to her face again and looked back at the hospital. Although the hospital was still functioning, it was as quiet as a graveyard. It made Maria wary of the building and also reconsidering entering the hospital. She swallowed and gazed at the building.
Jerald's words from their dinner date earlier began to ring within her. She closed her eyes as she tried to recall everything he said during their date.
"Are you suspecting me, Maria?" Jerald questioned.
Maria felt her face go hot. Had he found out that she didn't trust him 8her true motive of the date was to get questions out of him? Maria could tell because of the poker look he had on his face. She cleared her throat and clasped her hands in front of her.
"Its not like I suspect you or anything, but it's only natural that I question you, since we've questioned every other residents of the town." Maria replied.
