Oliver walked slowly to the front door as the banging got louder. He placed his hand on the surface and peered through the peep hole. Once he saw who was standing outside the door, he unbolted the lock and swung the door open.
Maria breezed into the house and closed the door loudly. She slumped to the ground as she heaved heavy breaths.
"What happened?" Oliver asked as he crouched down beside her.
Maria exhaled sharply and looked up at him.
"I think someone was following me, no I'm sure of it."
Oliver's mind went into panick.
"Did you see what the person looked like?"
Maria shook her head.
"Just an outline of the person's body. It was probably a man."
Oliver reached out his hand to draw her into an embrace when he stopped mid air and retracted his arm. He stood up straight and backed away as he folded his arms, his gaze fixed on Maria.
"Why are you late?" He asked firmly.
