"I...said that?" Daisy asked in awe.
Evan nodded at her.
"You had a very sad look on your face when you said it, so I figured it had something to do with your past." Evan hinted.
Daisy looked at Evan blankly and turned to gaze at the flowing lake. She could recall being really hurt that day, but she didn't know that she had said something like that. Daisy knew she blurted that out at the spur of the moment because of how hurt she was feeling. Evan studied Daisy's demeanor for a moment and sighed.
"It's fine if you don't feel comfortable talking about it. It's your past. I'd lie if I say I'm not interested, but I'll respect your privacy." Evan said as he took her hands again, intertwining it with his slowly.
Daisy looked up at him and her face softened.
" you're cute." Daisy said with a soft giggle.
Evan smiled shyly as his cheeks flushed a bright red.
