"You're what?"
The manager crossed her legs and glared at Daisy.
"You heard me."
She went back to writing on some documents like Daisy wasn't there.
Daisy looked at her with disbelief.
"You can't just fire me Because I missed a few days!"
"Well, I can and I just did."
Daisy exhaled slowly, her only attempt at trying to quell the uprising rage within her.
"Look manager, I told you I was a victim at the bar incident that happens days ago. I'm sure you head about it."
"I did, and how does that help your situation?" the manager said plainly, not looking up from her work.
"This affected me mentally. I mean, I watched a friend die right in front of me!"
The manager sighed and put down her pen on the table.
"Your mental state doesn't concern me whatsoever. You and the other girls skipped work for days without taking any permission and I don't tolerate that."
