Maria stared at the running water absentmindedly. She blinked and sighed, placing the sponge in her hand underneath it. The water ran through the sponge filling it up with water.
Maria applied pressure on the item, squeezing the water out of it and making it foam.
Maria blinked again and noticed that her hands had stopped moving. She groaned and threw the sponge down in the sink.
Her mind had been clouded with different thoughts ever since their visit to Daisy's. Specifically, she had been brooding about Oliver and his reaction to Daisy's last words to them.
"That monster, that was Kenna." Daisy had said.
Maria had remembered making a sharp turn to Oliver's direction to see his reaction. His expression was something she had not hoped for. He looked surprised, but deep beneath that expression, Maria could see that he was also hurt. It raised a lot of questions in Maria's mind.
