"And this is exactly what officer Sophie told you?" Oliver asked as he cocked his eyebrow.
Evan licked his lips and nodded.
"That's exactly what she told us...sir." Evan replied.
Daisy glanced over at Evan and saw that he was fiddling with his fingers. She didn't know what exactly was making him nervous. Was it the fact that he was in Oliver and Maria's house? Or the fact that Oliver was sitting in front of them with a stern look on his face. Daisy picked the latter. It was her idea to come over to their place and tell them about the situation. Evan had agreed, but she didn't think he'd be uncomfortable.
Maria breezed into the living room with a tray in her hands. She walked over to where they sat and placed the tray down on the small table in front of them.
"Are you fine with tea officer Evan?" Maria asked
Evan smiled and nodded.
"Yes, tea would be perfect."
