"We're going to search the outskirts of town and every other abandoned building in that area."
Maria examined the chief's demeanor. He wasn't the type to make impulsive decisions, so she knew he had thought about it extensively. The question was, what made him come to such a decision.
"I called the both of you here to know what you think about this?"
Oliver and Maria shared a look and stared back at the chief with open eyes.
"You…want, to hear our opinion on this?" Maria said, perplexed.
Chief Bradley sighed and tugged at the neck of his shirt.
"I know it may sound weird, but I know the both of you are good decision makers and I trust whatever you say."
