"oh? You're back earlier than I expected detective." Linda said without breaking her gaze from the mirror in front of her.
Oliver stepped into the hotel room, and Maria followed behind him. Linda turned back and looked at Oliver, then shifted her gaze to Maria.
Maria adjusted her sweater as Linda's gaze made her feel self conscious and uncomfortable. Linda returned her gaze back to Oliver.
"So, mission accomplished?"
" Not exactly, we need to question Mr Reagan This afternoon."
"I'm guessing I'm not needed?"
Oliver grimaced and rubbed the back of his neck.
"You look like you're heading somewhere, where are you going?"
"I don't see why I should report my whereabouts to you."
An uncomfortable silence settled around the room like a thick fog.
"Listen, Linda, I'm so-"
"I don't want to hear it detective." Linda caught him short as she waved him off dismissively.
