Maria shifted nervously in the car seat and swallowed saliva in an attempt to lubricate her dry throat. She glanced over at Trevor, who was busy conversing with someone on the phone. Trevor noticed her gaze and returned it with a smirk. Maria looked away quickly as heat began to flood her face. 'That caught me off guard." Maria thought as she sighed to herself. She looked out the window and took in the unfamiliar surroundings. The temperature in the car was relatively cold due to the air conditioning, but Maria could tell how hot it was outside from how sunny it looked. The streets were filled with pedestrians, who were appareled in various types of summer clothing. Maria gazed at them with envy. She wanted to bask under the warm sun, wear summer attires and go to the beach. Maria placed her hands on the surface of the glass window and sighed.
"Are you alright?"
