Crimson babbled incoherent sounds again, distracting Ronan and Arielle. Ronan seemed hesitant to touch Crimson even though a part of him felt a new feeling that he didn't want to admit. Arielle, who saw his doubt, grabbed the man's hand that was on the side of Crimson's body.
"Don't be afraid to hold her," said the girl.
Ronan was always trying to remind himself that he didn't want a baby. The urge within him to hold onto Crimson was only due to his longing for his sister. That was it. Holding Crimson didn't mean the trauma in the past was erased at once.
The trauma was still there. It was just that maybe because Arielle was by his side, Ronan felt a little more relaxed. Ronan was always looking for excuses and always burying his own feelings.
"Arielle, do you often handle a baby?" the man asked.
