I looked at Snowdrop one more time. She didn't cry. She simply waved her little hand a few times and smiled at me. Her smile turned into a chuckle. Then, I felt the ground vibrate beneath my feet again.
"Go, hurry! You don't have much time! Don't stop if you don't want to get killed!"
"But Cecilia! How about Snowdrop? She needs her mother!"
I turned around and smiled. My face was wet with tears. Maybe this was what Amadea felt when he forced Snowdrop and me to leave Birwick Mountain. The man had a responsibility that needed to be completed right away, yet he also felt reluctant to part away with us.
"You don't need to worry. The sun and moon won't leave her. Her mother and father won't really be gone until we meet our Snowdrop again."
