Arielle's flames were almost extinguished. Because her focus was interrupted by a strange voice in her head, she fell from the top of the cave to the foot of the rocky hill.
What was that? Arielle asked inwardly, not understanding the strange thing that happened earlier. However, before she got back from her confusion, a black wolf with burning fur jumped to lunge at Arielle. Its mouth was opened wide, ready to bite her neck.
"ARIELLEE!!!" Abigail shouted.
Arielle clenched her fists again, but the flames didn't come out of her hands. Where was her power? Why couldn't she let out her flames again? Arielle wanted to dodge, but all her bones felt crushed. She was unable to move. The girl closed her eyes, not ready to die like this.
