Lazarus told Arielle to run behind him and Johan, who was behind them. They went back up the stairs and turned towards the west wing. He stopped so suddenly that Arielle accidentally bumped into Lazarus' back.
"What is it?" asked Arielle curiously.
"Too quiet without a guard."
Lazarus walked slowly to approach the door of the hall. On the floor, there was blood splattered and Arielle could see one of the soldiers with the Northendell crest missing his arm and a large open wound on his neck.
Arielle held Lazarus' hand tightly in fear. The three entered slowly, and when Arielle looked up, she could see Ronan's back. In his right hand, he held a sword that was larger in size than most swords Arielle had ever seen.
In his left hand, he grabbed Aron's hair which was hanging helplessly on the floor.
Arielle averted her gaze.
(Is Aron dead?) Arielle asked in her heart.
