The king got up quickly.
"Your Majesty?" called the man beside him, who was surprised that the king stood up so suddenly.
"How did the investigation into the man named Matthew turn out?" asked Ronan calmly.
"Matthew has been found. But the people in charge are currently unable to bring him to the North because the man is in mourning."
Ronan's brows furrowed at that.
"Mourning? Hasn't his wife died long ago?" the man asked suspiciously.
The previous reports stated that Matthew's wife died while giving birth to their daughter. So who else died now?
"We found him when the man was at his daughter's funeral. The day before, residents found the man's daughter drowned in the river."
Ronan stared at the man intently. "Are you sure?"
