They looked at the hydra with widened eyes.
"My, my." The hydra grinned "Must be my lucky day. My little Players are here."
"Zaiden?" Yasmin asked
It answered, "Fragment. Unlucky you, I suppose."
"Damn it." Ivan snapped
He opened his mouths and they began to run as purple flames were spat out. They turned a corner into another Zaiden fragment.
"Heya." The first Zaiden attacker smiled "Care to join?"
"No. Enjoy yourself," it replied with zero interest.
Jaxon pushed forward while they discussed and a pillar of black flames rose up into the attacker's chest.
[Player
All the Zaiden fragments felt the death of the hydra and their attention was diverted instantly to the interesting new prey.
"I'm not going to run from you," Jaxon announced
The remaining Zaiden raised a brow, "Why?"
"This is what you want." Jaxon told, "To push us further away from the exit."
Zaiden smiled, "Is that so? Or are we really bored?"
"I have nothing to lose in both situations," Jaxon responded
Zaiden grinned, "Maybe your life?"
The fragment opened its mouth.
"DUCK!!" Ivan yelled
A white laser flashed past and sliced into the maze creating a series of explosions. Jaxon ran forward quickly and made a ball of green flames.
Before he could land the attack a tail bashed into him and sent him crashing to the ground. Another Zaiden fragment in hydra form was perched on the maze wall.
"Did I do something unnecessary?" it asked
The fragment responded, "No you didn't. It's so weird talking to ourselves like this."
"I know right."
"You're destroying your precious maze!" Reese yelled
"We can rebuild." they answered
A red arrow pierced into the hydra's arm and it turned to Ivan with Sera on his right shoulder. A smirk on his face.
"I guess we're doing this." Ivan grinned "After all Villains fight 'til the bitter end, right?"
[ Player
"JAX!" Ivan yelled
He made a blood string grab the wolf's leg and dragged the wolf toward sideward before the hyra's foot crashed on his body. Jaxon raised his hand as he was pulled and fired a pillar of white flames and the fragments smirked arrogantly.
The hydra raised its wing, sharp blood blades burrowed a hole and left a deep cut on one of his necks. Sera took the opportunity to shoot an arrow into the hole, but sadly another head had caught it.
Sera didn't look flustered as she snapped her fingers and the arrow denotated. It released fog and the Players were gone.
"That's what we get for underestimating them I suppose." the unharmed fragment scowled
"Oh, please." They frowned
The Players panted deeply as they checked if the fragments had followed them.
"That was reckless." Vance frowned
Jaxon sighed, "We had to do something. All this thinking wasn't doing us any good. It was what caused this mess to begin with."
"He has a point." Ivan nodded "We need to find a way to the second test."
"I have a way," Kali announced
All the attention was focused on her and she averted her eyes and twiddled her fingers.
"Any time." Urvi smiled
"I have a skill that I use for gambling and lottery. I can lead us there." she confessed
"You gamble?" Becca frowned
Gaia gasped, "My goodness....you're surprised?"
Yasmin sighed, "Get on with it!"
[ Player< Kali> has chosen skill < Fortune Magnet>]
"Wait, it's an active skill?!" Jaxon frowned
Kali nodded, "Didn't I tell you? You actually thought it was passive?"
"She has a point." Ivan shrugged
"How will you defend yourself?" Gain asked with his usual stoic expression
Kali's facial expression turned sour but brightened as she remembered something. Everyone decided it wasn't worth mentioning anymore.
"Lead us out of here." Gaia sighed
Kali grinned, " 'Kay!"
Kali walked in front and led the way. The freed fragments were together and looked at the system screen with amazement.
"She had a skill like this?" one wondered
Another laughed, "As if we could remember all the skills available to players through normal and unhanded methods."
"So we know where we're going then." they smiled
One frowned, "Depends on...how lucky is Kali now?"
They raised their brow in questioning expression as many thoughts came to mind.
"We should find them quickly." a fragment sighed "If good luck is our undoing, I'll never live it down."
They followed Kali and saw dozens of hydras waiting for them.
"Are you sure about this?" Ivan asked
Kali nodded and pointed, "It's that door, there."
"Living in a maze might not be that bad." Laasya said seriously
Everyone looked at her in utter horror. Had she lost her mind they all thought with mixed worry within them.
"LET'S GO!" Yasmin grinned
[Player
Clouds appeared underneath the villains and rushed them forward at tremendous speed.
"STOP THEM!!" A fragment ordered
[Player
Wolves rushed out of the fragments' shadows as Ivan threw Sera into the air. She fired arrows everywhere.
[ Player
"Perfect." Urvi grinned
[Player
The entire maze flipped upside down.
[Good luck's with Kali's party]
Objects hit the fragments harshly and Yasmin steered the cloud toward the door. A fragment in hydra form flicked its tail into the cloud and scattered them.
Urvi flipped gravity again and Yasmin made more clouds appear to catch the other party members. Kali grabbed onto Caesar's leg like it were her only lifeline.
A hydra flew to Sera and Ivan jumped toward her. He twisted his body, grabbed Sera, and allowed the hydra to sink's fangs into his right calf.
Ivan's poison blood killed the hydra instantly and the other fragments were wary of him. They shifted their attention to the others.
Maya was watching from a room and heard footsteps behind her.
"Weren't you in the Forever Vacation dimension?" she asked "Hmm? Jasper?"
Jasper grinned, "I wanted to see them."
He looked at the screen and his cold eyes scanned the players.
"I'm a little disappointed." Jasper shrugged "But high risk, high reward."
A bright light came out from the door the players and Hydra were confused as Lucian came out.
"Huh?" they reacted
Everyone disappeared and left the fragments in confusion. The Players appeared in front of Jasper in a throne-like chair.
"Salutations, players." he grinned
