He looked at the letter asking who he was.
" Dylan. Although how do I write that." young Dylan thought
The words suddenly changed: Dylan- Born of the sea/ son of the sea/ born of the ocean. Which are you Dylan?
" None. I'm not anything great." Dylan sighed
* Bang*
" Mister, I have to hide you, my father is coming." Dylan panicked " Who are you?"
The paper turned into a paper flower and Dylan hide it under his pillow. His father a proud low ranked cleaner{ A person that cleans up after the heroes do their heroic works with high death rate so quite unpopular job} entered the with a beer bottle.
" *hiccup* Dylan did you*hic* get it?" her asked
Dylan handed his father a pouch of money but his father threw him into the wall and a flower pot smashed on his head. His father stomped out to the bar as tears ran down his son's eyes. The flower unfolded in front of him.
It was written: Aren't you in a bind? One moment.
Dylan's wounds started healing up and he was surprised. The letter read: I think it's time to sleep, no? Dylan listened and went to sleep.
Zaiden was seated outside the window as he did flower arrangement. Zander came and followed his gaze to the apartment Dylan stayed in.
" Why help him?" Zander pouted
Zaiden smiled, " Do I need a reason to help someone I want to help?"
" Just take responsibility. Don't drop it halfway." Zander frowned " And yet another beautiful flower arrangement."
Zaiden smiled as the arrangement vanished and he went back into their penthouse. The next day Dylan found the flower arrangement on his table with a card: To cheer you up. Dylan felt a tiny warmth from his first gift but the door swung and his father entered.
" WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!??? SO YOU USED MY MONEY, YOU LITTLE RAT!!!" He boomed
Dylan tried to say something but the vase was already thrown to the ground. His father left when her realized he was running late for work giving Dylan a stern warning. He picked up the flowers and put in a bucket of water.
" It's selfish of me but please don't die." Dylan thought leaving the house.
He went to an alley way and quickly grabbed a wallet of a lady. He felt awful as he robbed other people per his father's wish. On his way home men ambushed him and threw him in a corner.
" Well look at this. I found a thief." they laughed stomping on Dylan's small body.
Dylan held onto the stolen money fearing his father's reaction. He cowered holding his ears and as the hard boots crashed on his malnourished body.
" Oh dear....violence." a voice laughed
When Dylan looked up a man with a bloodied white suit with a black face mask. That was Zaiden and Dylan first meeting each other. His purple eyes seemed to smile at the boy.
" Well hello there, Dylan." Zaiden went
Dylan saw the bodies of the men and Zaiden held a black dagger. Dylan was oddly calm as Zaiden crouched down.
" Must be tough." Zaiden sighed " Although, this won't make your father love you more, Dylan."
Zaiden stood up and started walking away.
" What...what's your name, Sir?" Dylan said
A bouquet of orange roses appeared in front of Dylan and when he looked back Zaiden was gone. The tag read: Dylan Fighting *cheering emoji*. Dylan took the flowers to the bucket with others and was confused by the many different types and species. He heard the stumbling footsteps of his drunk father and hid the flowers.
" BRAT *hic*" he laughed grabbing Dylan's arm
Dylan struggled, " I brought the money....please...PLEASE!!!!"
His father threw him in a corner, he held a stick-like thing and loomed over Dylan.
" Why do you look like that bitch? I'll need to properly discipline you." he went raising the stick
Dylan felt something swell up, normally headed endure the drunkard but he opened his mouth, " PLEASE....HELP--"
His father's head came clean off and blood sprayed all over the room as the body slumped down. Zaiden was there in a lilac suit and cracked pink mask. His eyes were enraged but soon cooled down.
" Dylan....Whatever shall we do? You have made me commit murder again." Zaiden giggled
Dylan moved forward and held onto Zaiden's dripping hand. He had sliced his neck with his hand and the boy cried. Zaiden looked down and remembered an unpleasant memory from his past. He took Dylan to the penthouse and Zander sighed at Dylan holding all the flowers he was given.
" I....I don't care." Zander sighed going to sleep
" I'm off too. Your room's over there, alright?" Zaiden said removing his mask
Dylan nodded as Zaiden left complaining about washing blood stains off. Dylan went to the bookshelf and saw a book: Flower Language. He started to read it and understand the flowers he was being sent and those that could have been.
The next morning Dylan gave Zaiden a bell flower. Zaiden grinned as he ruffled his hair, " I hope you'll be the last stray I pick up....Dylan. Shall I become you're guardian?"
" I won't help you." Zander frowned sipping his coffee
Zaiden laughed, " Yes you will! You're my brother!!"
" W..will...I need to kill people?" Dylan asked
The twins smiled softly and Zaiden ruffled his hair.
" There is only one thing you need to do....." Zaiden said seriously
Dylan was prepared for anything as the two looked at his in dramatic silence.
" Just be a kid, Dylan." Zaiden smiled " Eat, sleep and learn well and the stuff in between. Now what to do now?"
" Perhaps submit you permanent guardianship?" Zander sighed
Zaiden smiled, No way. Today is Dylan's BIRTHADAY!!!"
Zaiden and Zander bickered over what they had to do and Dylan held the little bellflower in his hands. He-
" Why'd you stop, Dylan!!!" Kali frowned
They had been travelling to where Drake wanted to go as Dylan told his story
" Will they adopt you?" Jaxon wondered
Dylan was silent and they seemed to grin widely. Drake announced they had arrived. At that time Zander opened his eyes beside Zaiden. He remembered being found by Light Union spacecraft with Zyder. He exited the room and found Zyder tending to his wounds.
" Elder Bro-" Zander began looking around seeing corpses " What did you do?"
Zyder had a sly smile and Zander looked at the message from the Daybreak's Queen. What now Zander thought really thinking they might be executed. A black rose appeared in front of Zander.
" NOT FUNNY ZAI!!!" He screamed " THE QUEEN IS COMING TO THIS SPACESHIP!!! WE MURDERED HER CREW!!"
