"You're kidding me, right?"
I was currently in my bedroom, staring at the mission screen which had presented me my reward.
My strength had increased by ten points but I didn't feel any different than before. That wasn't the important thing...What was also given from completing my mission was a secret reward.
"My third husband...Alaric Astar."
I leaned towards the screen, trying to see if I was seeing correctly and indeed, it had the prince of Astar's full name.
"How can that be possible? He's my enemy..."
I recalled the moment that occurred between us the day earlier and I couldn't help but blush.
"Damn it, why did he have to do that? My heart is too weak..." I sulked, clutching the area where my heart was located dramatically.
I just didn't know how to feel with Alaric. It was way too confusing.
He was my enemy but the way he acted yesterday was as if he wanted to be on good terms when his father, the king, wanted to get rid of me for good.
Did it have to do with the system?
Is that why he was acting this way?
I looked at the screen again, only to see a new icon that appeared next to the potion icon. I clicked on it to see a profile built for each husband. It was William first, Bradley and then Alaric.
"Well, this sure is helpful," I muttered as I pressed over Alaric's option.
A picture of him was placed on the left side of the screen for me to admire because now I could see his features and body physique quite well and damn, he was fine like summer wine and-
I cleared my head, realising I was sending my train of thoughts in the wrong direction and focused back on what was important right now.
NAME - ALARIC ASTAR
POSITION - PRINCE OF THE ROYAL ASTAR KINGDOM
DOM/SUB - ???
"Wait, what was that?" I questioned in disbelief as I found it hard to believe what I just read.
I blinked, only for the previous information to disappear and the next set of information to come.
KEY FACT - HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN LOVE WITH THE EMPRESS OF THE KHIRA KINGDOM AND IS WILLING TO ABANDON HIS FATHER IF NEED TO BE.
"Oh."
I stared at the screen, absorbing the new facts that were presented to me but that didn't stop my face from turning red.
"Mission."
The screen glitched to reveal the missions I partook in but it also uncovered a new task which was arriving soon.
"In five days...It's most likely going to be where I face the king of Astar." I predicted it as a way to calm myself down and move on from the last moment.
The time for dinner had arrived and I was escorted by Heather to the dining room where I would be eating with Bradley.
I felt bad that I couldn't spend much time with him lately since I had been busy trying to sort out the whole Astar problem.
I walked into the dining room to see Bradley was already seated and waiting for me, smiling in my direction.
"It's nice to see you again, your majesty." He greeted and I returned it with a smile of my own.
I seated myself by the table, opposite Bradley and it became quiet as we began to eat our food. The Royal advisor, Fredrick had come into the room not long after with a set of papers in his hand.
"Your majesty. I've come to talk to you about your marriage proposal to, Sir Bradley." He mentioned and I placed my cutlery down, wiping my mouth with a napkin before I focused on him.
"I suggest for you both to tie the knot while we wait for Sir Williams situation to be sorted. You can throw a party once everything has settled down." I nodded to his words, watching as he placed the marriage contract on the table.
"So...Should we do this now?" I questioned with innocence causing Bradley to choke on his drink.
"Are you sure, your majesty?" Fredrick questioned me in a way that had me confused.
"Yeah. Is that a problem?" I said back that flustered the royal advisor.
"Signing the contract today means, you would be spending your first night with Bradley tonight which is currently in two hours." He revealed and I froze, the sudden hit of realisation struck me.
"Oh...OH!"
"You don't specifically have to do anything if you are not comfortable, your majesty," Fredrick mentioned, trying to assure me as he saw how flustered I had become while Bradley was a blushing mess.
"I-If that's the case then it should be fine to sign the contracts now," I said after clearing my throat.
"I agree," Bradley told and a contract was placed in front of the two of us to sign.
We were both handed a pen to add our signature and I signed my paper with ease before looking over to Bradley.
It took me by surprise when I saw how fancy his signature was making me assume that his identity wasn't fully uncovered meaning he wasn't just any random slave I saved.
I came out of my thoughts as Fredrick spoke up and I watched as he bought the two contracts together before bowing towards us.
"I congratulate you both on your marriage."
