Beasts of Beauty

Evota is the only Princess to a powerful kingdom. Two moons after her 18th birthday she along with several armed guards are sent on a month long journey east so for Evota's wedding to crown prince Osric Alwyn. However as they are journeying through the Treapia mountains their convoy is attacked by a group of bandits. They manage to rip Evota from the carriage and drag her away from the fight. Evota is not a woman to go quietly and remembers the dagger her brother had slipped to her before she left home. Slicing through the neck of her would be captor she flees up the mountain only stopping once she finds a cave. Hiding in the shadows she sees the men approaching she prays to the goddess that they will not find her. They do, but even this hardened criminals know what lies in that cave and will not dare enter. For a moment Evota wonders if they are so afraid of the cave would she be better with them, but as quickly as that answer comes it goes. She vows not to go to far so as not to get lost or run into whatever horror that was to great even for criminals. What she doesn't know is that the other occupant of the cave has already smelt her!
