About spume-capped waves crashing along the rocks sending salty spray into air. About air warmed by brilliant sunshine that sparkles on the white sandy shores. It's irresistible. The same centuries-old rhythm of sea and sun shaped the Punta Ballena coastline where the Esperanza sits, named for the Bahía San Lucas which resembles a whale's fluke.
It's a halcyon trip by car along Baja's Golden Corridor from Puerto Los Cabos where we dock the yacht to the Esperanza. The area's a playground of golf courses, high-end resorts and spas, and pristine beaches catering to the financial elite the world over.
