Rella hadn't been away from the sect for more than three days, yet she was already having a horrible time.
Hours after leaving, Rella was attacked by a group from the Fire Swan Sect–one of her sect's biggest rivals. The attackers forced her to abandon her supplies to escape.
Without supplies, Rella was forced to take a massive detour, adding an extra day to her journey. She had to rest without a tent or blankets and catch food to cook over a fire. She was miserable.
Her second day wasn't any better. She was woken up by a pack of Silver-horned Wolves–a fierce elementary realm beast.
Silver-horned Wolves were large beasts with white fur and a single silver horn on their head. They are a pinnacle-stage elementary beast with incredible speed and a powerful bite. Their seemingly soft fur is hard to penetrate, making them difficult creatures to fight. On top of that, they almost always travel in packs, giving them numerical superiority.
The wolves had been drawn by the smell of her previous dinner, making Rella curse her bad luck.
Rella got up and ran, escaping as fast as she could. For a supply-less elementary cultivator like her, winning was a dream
Fortunately, Rella mainly focused on speed, allowing her to outrun the wolves. However, they still chased her for several hours without rest, putting her in a bad mood.
The rest of that day also sucked. Rella ended up running into a pack of Steel-fanged Rabbits, barely escaping with her life.
Steel-fanged Rabbits were a lethal spirit beast at the pinnacle of the elementary spirit realm. They had the same size and appearance as normal rabbits, making people often mistake them for their more docile cousins. That was the last mistake people made.
The rabbits are proficient in ambush kills. Their needle-like fangs can bite straight through steel, and they can unhinge their jaws like a snake to take larger bites out of flesh. They are fast and jump at crazy speeds, attacking unsuspecting creatures.
By some strange stroke of luck, Rella was able to dodge the ambush attack of the rabbit, only to run for her life for another several hours before collapsing from exhaustion.
While running from the beasts, she had become lost. And, without her supplies, she was helpless to find her way back.
Defeated and scared, Rella climbed a tree to get some rest away from the ground.
The tree branch she lay on was uncomfortable, but she was so exhausted she didn't care. Her sleep that night was restless as she was regularly woken by strange cries and phantom noise.
At one point, Rella had to hide against the tree as a bear creature came sniffing around right beneath her.
Needless to say, when she awoke the next day, she was exhausted. However, she still had to keep moving.
Rella ended up walking for the entirety of the third day, only coming across a town as the sun was setting.
Rella found a tavern that had rooms and food. She was so hungry, she bought several dishes, scarfing them down instantly. Renting a room, she decided to take a warm bath.
The bartender even gave her a special soap to make the water foamy.
Rella leaned back in the tub, allowing the warm water to soothe her sore muscles. It was so relaxing, feeling like heaven after the past few days. She was so relaxed that she began to nod off in the tub.
Out of nowhere, a strangely dressed girl suddenly appeared in the bathroom.
Rella was stunned. "What the f-" Unfortunately, she couldn't finish her thought as something large fell on top of her, pushing her under the water.
Rella panicked as she was pushed under the water. She wasn't thinking straight and couldn't free herself from the thing on top of her. 'Is that girl attacking me? I didn't even see her move.' Panicked thoughts ran through Rella's mind.
Rella couldn't help breathing in some water before suddenly being pulled from under the surface. Her eyes were stinging from the soap, making her close them tightly.
When she broke the surface, Rella began coughing, feeling a hand patting her back.
Rella heard a masculine voice laugh, saying. "Sorry about that. We are new to interdimensional travel."
Rella's eyes still burned, making her squeeze them shut. She was about to barely open them enough to see who pulled her out. She was going to speak until she heard the sound of someone jumping out of the bath yelling, "Run!"
Rella forced her eyes open just in time to see the backs of several people fleeing the bathroom–one of which looked soaked.
She immediately jumped out of the tub to give chase, but, running past the mirror, she happened to catch a glimpse of herself. That is when she realized something important. She was naked! She couldn't just run after them like that.
Then another important thought fluttered into her mind. If she was naked that whole time, all of them saw her bare body, and one of them was even in the bath with her!
Rella's cheeks began to burn with a bit of embarrassment and a lot of fury. "Those Creeps! Just wait until I catch you!"
Rella ran to her robe, neatly hanging on the wall. The robe was still dirty from her travels, but Rella didn't care. She threw it around her body and burst out the door.
She quickly ran down the hall and toward the stairs. When she reached the stairs, she didn't see them anywhere, so she looked at the bartender. "Where are they?"
The bartender looked scared, but Rella didn't care. Seeing the bartender pointing at the door, Rella charged out of the establishment and into the street.
By this time, the sun had fully set, and the night had taken over. The streets weren't busy, but there were people here and there.
Rella looked to both sides. Seeing that several people seemed to be gossiping on one side, Rella assumed that was the way the culprits went. 'When I catch you, I swear, you are gonna regret it.'
Rella then took off into the night, chasing after the bandits who broke into her bathroom while she was bathing.
