Andrew had been waiting for the Casey Parker case to go to trial but he hadn't expected it to happen after so many months of the man in question being incapable of responding to anyone. He or Josh tried contacting the hospital every so often and always got the same news.
So getting a call from one of the assistant district attorneys about the case was surprising. He and Jodie had both been called as prosecution witnesses since he had been the lead detective on all but the Martin Candless case and she could tie him to Jimmy Otto since she had investigated his stalking case and met him in the process.
They both went to meet with the assistant DA, Sharon McCullough, at the same time and bumped into each other on the way. Jodie looked distinctly troubled but tried to smile reassuringly at him.
"Hey, Andrew. You got called in too, huh?"
