Life would never be easy for Casey but that didn't mean it couldn't be meaningful. He would always struggle with certain things but that didn't mean he had to be miserable.
He had come to terms with what happened. Sometimes it would hit him all over again and he would have a bad day or two but he always snapped out of it because he had to. He knew wallowing wouldn't do him or his family any good.
His biggest regret would always be what happened with Ashley. She had missed out on so much of life because of him. He doubted she would ever forgive him. Her brother certainly hadn't.
There was nothing he could do on days where that got him down. They happened sometimes and he simply had to deal with it until the feeling passed.
