Casey was still going to therapy but Vera didn't even know if that was helping. He was keeping things to himself no matter how tired or miserable or lost in bad memories he was.
She had read about how experiencing new traumatic events when a person already had PTSD tended to make old things resurface. She was really worried about him but he always insisted he was fine.
He didn't seem fine. He seemed too quiet.
Vera did her best to be upbeat and keep him distracted when they were together but that wasn't always possible because of Ada. The baby required a lot of attention but her husband did too. There wasn't enough of her to go around.
Casey texted her a lot when he was at work to check in and make sure she was okay. Probably separation anxiety. She always reassured him that both she and the baby were fine.
