Vera's happiness for the year peaked when she was able to celebrate holidays with the man she loved properly. It was the first time she had been able to do that since he got out of the hospital and she had a lot of fun with it.
There was a slight candy cane issue around Christmas time but it was hit and miss. Sometimes decorations set Casey off, sometimes they didn't. The real thing pretty much always did though.
She ended up doing a fair amount of her planned Christmassy activities with Kane, who seemed very curious about them. He had never done anything like it before.
But come January when the candy canes were out of stores everything was fine again for the most part. And for Valentine's Day they took a trip to Disneyland because neither of them had ever been and that was a lot of fun.
Vera jokingly wore a Snow White shirt and took a picture with Snow White. Casey thought that was pretty funny and made it his new lock screen.
